Civil Servant Bonus Announced
It was announced that civil servants will get a bonus of 2.7 months +$220 this year. This is supposedly because the economy is in good shape. I suspect that this is far more than the average Singaporean will get this year, inspite of the economy being in good shape. I will be lucky to get 1.5 months for this year.
I wonder when the ministers are going to declare a special bonus for themselves. This is when we are all expecting to be poorer in real terms with the increase in GST next year. i am not surprised, since my real wage packet has been shrinking for the past few years, with the lowering of employer CPF contribution rates, as well as the drop in contribution ceiling.
