Self-Image

Where do we see ourselves, when we consider our lives, and our friends? To a greater extent, then how do we see ourselves with society in perspective? Not long ago, some people on livejournal did the Johari/Nohari quiz, where they invited their friends to fill in their perspectives. The question is, how many of us on livejournal, know each other so well in real life, that what we give would be an accurate assessment? Oftentimes, what we reveal on livejournal, is very much what we allow to be disclosed. Since it involves writing things down, and going online, it is a more involved process that is not so spontaneous. Hence, the blindspots are not so obvious.

Yet, some of us, are natural optimists, and others, pessimists. Some have unreasonably high-regard for themselves, while others find it hard to live with who they are. This can be seem in some psychological tests, where some score themselves high in almost all positive aspects, when some find it hard to find a single strong point. Perhaps this has got to do with personal make-up and upbringing, as well as childhood experiences.

So, I would like to know, if you think you are above-average, and what your strong suits are. I personally, rate myself pretty average, with some strong points, and a few glaring weaknesses. Hence, I would like to know how people see me. Did not like the Johari/Nohari quiz, because there were bits and pieces of a person's personality that were not in the grid they gave us to choose from. For those who know me in person, I guess you can have a better go...
