I Thought 2-Room Flats No Longer Existed

A while back, HDB announced (or the government announced) that it would only build 4-room flats or bigger, since there was no demand for smaller flats.

Of course, we know that they had to do a policy turnaround and build 3-room flats. So we thought that besides the "studio apartments" designed for the old folks, the 3-room units were the smallest, ( Read more... )

1) What if the HDB (re-)sticks to its sole mission of providing one of the basic human rights of having a shelter?
2) Having said that, the HDB flats should be de-coupled from the private property.
3) No person should own a HDB and private property at the same time.
4) The objective is shelter. No property appreciation in the equation.
Would that help the lower-income group of having a proper shelter free from the influence of market forces?
