Paradoxes

It seems that the more you know about something, the more uncertainties are thrown into the pot. It starts when what you learned in school, gets debunked in university. It only gets worse in graduate school, when you realize the world as we see it, is held together by theoretical constructs, many unproven. So, what is reality? Perhaps it depends on what you define as reality?

The same can be said about oneself, and the human psyche. As we go through life, we learn more and more about ourselves; our likes and dislikes, and how we tick. Yet, it seems that the more we know about ourselves, the more we realize we do not know about ourselves. It is as if while we try to change our Johari's window to reflect greater self-awareness, someone tries to undermine that whole effort.

Actual reality and what we perceive it to be, may be very different things. The differences, are played out in our minds. It is perhaps our limited brains, that are never able to make that transcendent leap into the unlimited. That is the real paradox, for our rationale for knowledge is based on order, whereas most information is based on chaos.
