Kosuke Kitajima
Have been watching the Olympics of late. I am slightly embarassed that I seem to be more interested in the Olympics than what is happening in Georgia. However, I have to mention how amazed at Kosuke Kitajima I am. He managed to defend both his breaststroke crowns in record times. If you see how much taller and bigger his fellow competitors are, you would think he would not stand a chance. I think that is a testament to his tenacity.
Yes, it is amazing that Phelps has won 6 golds already, and looks set to hit the 8 golds. Yet, there are stars like Kitajima, who go their quiet way, to leave their mark. Think it is Kitajima's slightly dorky look, and how shy he comes across as, that sets him apart from the many champions...
