Do Unto Others

The concept of Do Unto Others is found in many religious philosophies. Whether one adheres to a certain faith is besides the point, but it really makes living in a community easier and more harmonious.

However, there will always be rule-breakers. While I am quite fine with rule-breakers who oppose the rule in themselves, I find it difficult to accept people who believe that all but themselves should be held accountable to the rules.

What makes them so special that they should not be bound by rules, when they expect others to be? Perhaps it is but a reflection of their own immaturity.

So, even if Turn The Other Cheek is another philosophy common in religions, so is the concept of Consequences Of Actions. If one is not able to take responsibility for one's actions, perhaps one should examine one's actions.
