Perhaps one of my favorite things is when work goes by fast. I was scheduled to work from 12:30-6pm. And then they extended it to 6:30, and I didn't get off until 6:45. But I didn't even care.
Within the first 30 minutes of my being there, this woman came into return over $120 worth of clothes she'd gotten as a gift that were too big. And so all the money went on a gift card and she asked me if I'd be able to help her pick out some new stuff. I obliged and we walked over to the toddler girls' section. I started pointing things out and she kept getting all excited. Like, 30 mintues later she finally decided on some things and the whole time, she kept thanking me and telling me how great I was for helping her, because if I hadn't she probably would have looked around and then walked right out of the store. I had to call 2 stores for some things that we didn't have in the size she needed and she was all happy that I could do that. And after I rung her out she went to look at something again, and I got busy with other customers, and then she stood in line and waited until I wasn't busy to tell me how much she appreciated my assistance and that my customer service skills were great and all this stuff.
It's times like those when I really appreciate people. Only for that feeling to be completely obliterated 15 minutes later when I get a bitch of a customer who just complains and gripes about shit. Whatever though, that lady made my day.
I came home to Pine 9, opened the door, and Allison and Blake were on the couch. Allison goes, "ROOOOMIEEEEEE!!!!!" And I was like, "Hiii.....?" And she then tells me that she's had 3 beers in the last hour and she's a little gone. (I could tell.) It was rather hilarious, and I got jealous. And decided I need to catch up. So I'm working on it. HAHA I remember a year ago when Allison and I told eachother how we don't drink and never would. Wow how things changed. For the better, of course.
I've decided that studying for tests while drinking beers with gay guys is one of the most fun things to do. (Not extremely effective, but fun nonetheless.) So I hope it happens again Wednesday night and I can hang with Garrett and Andrew again and study for me and Garrett's Interior Materials test on Thursday.
I still haven't talked to him about how his interview went at The Lawrence Group. I would suspect that Garrett could impress pretty much anyone, so I'm really thinking his interview had to have gone as well as mine did. I mean, seriously, the lady e-mailed my teacher right after my interview telling her how impressive I was. And I think Garrett is a lot more interview-savvy as far as impressing people would go. So I really really really hope that we both get the internship and can work together. Because I'm pretty sure I don't want to sit around and sort fabrics every Friday by myself. But doing it with Garrett would actually make it enjoyable!
Oh - my mom called last night. I was busy watching a movie with Allison, Blake, and Dan, though, and told her I'd call her back when I was done. And she was like, "How much longer is that?" It was only 45 minutes and she said that'd be fine. So I called back and got no answer. Then she called like, an hour after that...DRUNK. But I was busy hooking up our entire electronic system in the living room so Dan answered with, "Sarah's phone, Dan speaking!" And so my mom talked to him a little bit. She asked him how he was, and then went on to say something like, "You should consider liking Sarah as more than a friend." And he was weirded out and was just like, "Yeah...we're hooking up the TV and stuff." And then she repeated it and was like, "You really should think about it..." WTF MOM!?!?! WHAT IS THAT!?! Just cause you're not getting any doesn't mean you have to tell one of my best friends to have a crush on me!!! ARGH. And then when I talked to her, she wouldn't stop rambling about this new cat they got, and I was just like, "Mom...I'm gonna go. I'll talk to you later." How lame, though. My mom calls me drunk, tells Dan to like-like me, and goes on for 5 minutes about how friendly Huxley is. GEEZE. I'm glad I'm 900 miles from that shit.
Alrightay...time to down another 2 beers before Stay 'N Play. PASS THE PIGS! YAY!
