(no subject)
Well, shucks. It's been like, almost a whole week since I last updated. I don't really think I'm into the whole LiveJournal craze anymore. The only reason I'll keep it up is to keep in touch with people. But I honestly want to start writing in a paper journal, where I just write for me, not for anyone else.
I was looking back at some of my old LJ stuff, and noticed that there's really not much substance at all. And that's not me. Which means that all I've been doing is writing for others, which shouldn't be the case at all.
I feel like I changed so much during the past year, that LJ doesn't really do my new self justice. Or something. Like, I can't truly get "me" across through a blog - and that bugs me.
But I am really happy with all the changes I've gone through. I've grown up so much since high school. Like, a scary amount of growing up. But I'm so content with who I am and where I'm at now. And I have so much to look forward to this year. Even just this semester. I honestly can't wait for school to start again, because there is going to be so much excellent stuff happening between now and May that I just want to get this show on the road:
+ school starting...me seeing all my friends again
+ starting an Interior Design course, in addition to regular art
+ mine and Allison's birthdays (2/2 and 2/3) and our joint birthday party (plus Halley possibly visiting!)
+ editing/illustrating Darren's stories/books
+ Spring Break road trip to Fort Collins with Allison
+ Kayla coming to visit in Saint Louis
+ tons of other great stuff I can't even begin to explain
It'll be great. I thought 2005 was amazing for me, just because of how much I developed myself. But I honestly see 2006 being even better. So I can't wait to see what's in store.
And...I've never really believed in New Year's resolutions, because I never had anything to resolve. But now I do, so here are mine:
- work out at least once a week
- write in a paper journal at least twice a week
- show my friends how much they mean to me instead of taking them for granted
- continue growing and changing and becoming a better me, because I'm liking it so far
Well, back to lazing around in my room or something. Only 9 days until Allison and Blake will be here. And only 12 days till we go back to Saint Louis! Yesssss...!
