Gallifrey One
OK, did I mention that I will be going to LA for Gallifrey one at the end of February? Any one else going? We should have an lj group or something. Hit the bar at the same time. Oh I cannot wait. This will be to much fun. I'm already going to meet three or four people from LJ there--sharing a room with two. I feel like a kid again!
And I found out that someone else here cosplays River Song. Now I am working on improving my outfit, am changing the shrug for an open patterned knit, and it will eventually be beaded--and the dress will hit the floor--but I want to post a couple of Halloween pics (possibly again) to show what the costume looks like. The big major difference is that the top of the dress is ruched, and River's is not, but it works all in all. I do have some gorgeous ivory jersey that will probably become a River dress, and if I can ever figure out how to make the top part of the spacesuit costume (and find a helmet, eek) I might make a spacesuit. I think it can be done. Anway, here's a couple of pics. Oh, I have since then picked up a real leather TARDIS journal from Etsy, and it's gorgeous. So that part of the costume has improved as well. So this is my first try, OK? And I turned out all splotchy, which sorta sucks, but it got hot while we were dancing, and I couldn't take the shrug off.
