Today I got pretty cool green fabric that I tacked up in my room as curtains. I was aiming for something bright red, as I thought it would offset the overwhelming (almost) amount of parchment color stuff in my room, but couldn't find any I particularly liked. But the green is nice. I'm hoping it picks up the sun really well and is bright and vibrant and lets some into the room too. Find out tomorrow!
Also got a haircut! Finally. Short and about like Fuuma cut it the last two times, and actually a proper hair cut and not the crap I paid for in Roanoke. And I got to chat with the cool hairdresser lady. And then some guy wandered into the place for no reason (wasn't looking for a cut) and started talking to everyone about his girl troubles, and then started singing. Pretty amusing.
Khan seems to be improving. Still short of breath in general, but less coughing and wheezing and a bit more pep. Which is good, because the medicine's not far from being out, and I was a little worried that it wasn't helping.
It's getting nice outside again.
Assuming all goes in a standard fashion, I'll be graduating around Thanksgiving of 2011. Which means I'll be moving sometime early summer '12. No idea where, but it's so nice to have a timeline again.
Not sure whether the Scotland trip is actually going to happen or not, but it's okay, I'm still saving up, and depending on situations, if we don't go to Scotland, perhaps Zel and I will see France some winter soon? That would also be cool. And hey, maybe we could take the Chunnel to England too.
Work's still going well, but people have been hella stingy with their tips lately. I worry a little that it's me, but try and switch something up every couple tours as an experiment and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
Ronn from D&D is planning on going to DragonCon and he might be able to get a rockin' hotel deal through someone, so Zel, Guns, Sam, and I will be able to pitch in and stay for super cheap. Sarah might come too, depending, and Nico would be awesome, but is still in the Florida. And maybe Owen, possibly Jason (the other guys from D&D) too?
Hopefully this Saturday I can make it to the sword-fighting practice. I had to miss last time for an emergency vet run.
Spring break's creeping up, and also Saint Paddy's Day, and also the Sakura Festival over nearby in Macon, which should be huge, and HEY, on the 21st, they have their annual bed racing event! As in they fix up beds into insane-o looking boxcars and then race them.
My heart cockles are warmed knowing that bed-racing is a persistent thing throughout...the world? There's gotta be bed races in other countries too, right?
