Userpics, continued

I was unable to install new software, as prohibited. I got closer to the conversion I needed with OpenOffice, but no cigar. After work I had a meeting, a bell rehearsal, a choral rehearsal, and mopping up some more after the leaky water heater, before lying down to read (Bartimaeus, book one); no computer work beyond checking mail.

Today I am frustrated that "new" computers arrived for 3 other people, but not for me. Pout. However I doubt that the newer hand-me-downs are any picnic; I'll bet I'll find out soon enough as people beg me for help with basic concepts. And it's not as if this piece of junk weren't capable of what I'm supposed to be doing with it... if I didn't keep yanking its chain I wouldn't have to reboot several times a day....

Anyway I found an online converter for the fairly suitable BMPs I have on hand. This low-contrast Irish Chain quilt block is a graphic I made up when I realized how bad a hit this old boat anchor takes drawing a desktop picture: no more EPOD photos, how about a small tiled grayscale item. Much better.
