quick review:
Chimaira didn't make it - bus broke down in STL.
Totally missed God Forbid completely.
Fear Factory was already playing when we got in. Their stage presence was great, but they sounded pretty muddy, and the light show wasn't the greatest, either. Nothing against them - it was whomever was running their shit. They are still my favorite band that was on the bill. I didn't know Dino had left the band, nor did I know Christian switched from bass to guitar. I still don't know who was playing keys - could it have been Rhys Fulber?
Slipknot rocked balls. The crowd was definitely there to see them.
All in all it was a good show, but I still feel a little let down by it. I was really wanting to see Chimaira, expected a better show from FF, and this was really the first exposure I've ever had to Slipknot. I know I've heard their stuff before, but never really paid attention, I guess.
Sully and I did have fun getting home, though. Amongst the road closures, we drove way the hell all over the countryside. Safely avoided the following:
1 possum
3 deer
1 rabbit
2 cats
I was impressed by the beer prices, though - only $4/cup, and they let us double fist. :P
