Renaming the cats Megatron & Optimus Prime

Well, now that my hair is yellow, Brian says my old hair color was orange. Why he doesn't tell me these thing...I kept saying it was orange and everyone kept saying- no, it's gold.
so if I fix this color, will they say- phew! your other color was "straw."

I left the lightener on as long as you can, which is 90 minutes. I still have places that aren't as blonde as others...they are brassier. Also, when you lather blonde dye into your hair,
you miss the natural lowlights and shades of blonde that natural hair has. I don't care.
It's just a fun-for-summer phase, and I can always change it later. I am thinking about getting one of those shine laminate applications- to make my hair softer. It seems a bit frizzier than my undyed hair. Sometimes I look at it and think it is sun-kissed and fun, and other times I wonder if I've created clown hair.

We saw Transformers last night. I was surprised by how good it was. I didn't want to go, then curiosity about Shia and Megan's acting abilities won me over. Brian accurately guessed that Megatron's voice was Hugo Weaving. I listened to "Zeitgeist" by Smashing Pumpkins online yesterday, and was very surprised to hear "Tarantula" during the closing credits!

Brian was in a foul mood due to being on the phone with a bank for over an hour yesterday. I whisked him out the door to Marix~ the much discussed Tex Mex restaurant that was to cure my cravings of the real deal back home. We went to happy hour...and the waitress was from Houston. I asked her where she went to cure her Pappasito's cravings, and she said there or On The Border. She said she'd gained 15 pounds since working there. Anyway, the bar food was just okay, but she made a point of telling us that their dinner fare like fajitas and enchiladas were amazing. We'll have to go back.

Trying to avoid the busy highway during rush hour, we ended up driving in circles uphill and downhill in the lush neighborhood where our $6 million dollar dreamhouse is located.

Honestly, it is the wood and the treehouse aspect with the creek that does it for us.
I hate all the art and decoration of the previous owners...but we would drown the place in
Thai and Indian decor. It is rare to find undisturbed creeks in Los Angeles. That part of town is so uncharacteristically moist, it has its own microclimate.

Mercury Retrograde is finally over!!!
