Well Summer's over and fall's right around the corner. This means it's time for the greatest time of year. America's real pastime. Football Season!!!! I dont think I can put into words my love for the game. I usually get kinda depressed in Feb cause I know I have to wait for MONTHS before football is back. I spend the offseason keeping track of the trades, injuries, retirements, the draft, coaching changes, etc... But this year I'm lost I've been at sea all summer and SO much has heppened, I've been busy the last few weeks trying to catch up but I'm still behind. This bothers me, usually I can spout off who's on what team or exactly what's goin on with most teams, but this year I dont know exactly what's goin on even in Dallas, MY TEAM. I ahve a feeling I've gonna be dissapointed this year by my team, I think they need one more year before they can be a Super Bowl Contender. We lost Quincy Carter, which I'm not too bummed about but it'd of been nice to keep him this year to help out Drew Henson, who I predict will be a big time QB in his time. but when you haven't played football in 4 years you cant just jump back in and be right back on top. they have Vinny Testerverde but he's like 41 and obviously past his prime, but it is nice to have someone with that much experience to help Henson along and to show him the ropes of the NFL. Eddie George is a great addition to the team. the 'Boys needed a running back since they let Emmitt go, granted he was past his prime, but I think they should of held onto him and let him finish up in Dallas, Draft someone high outta the draft and have Emmitt be his protege for a few years so the young RB could learn the game from one of the game's best Running Backs. But brining in Eddie George is great and he'll be able to help Julius Jones from Notre Dame learn the NFL and help him grow into a great back someday. As far as recievers go this year the boys are sitting much better than they have in a few years, They've brought in Keyshawn Johnson AND Terry Glenn both very capable recievers that give Vinny or Drew a couple of good targets out there. And of course the Cowboys still have the best defense in the NFL, and added to last years scary defense they've added Marcellus Wiley. His addition makes this the baddest front four in all of football You've got him, Greg Ellis, Leonardo Carson, AND the Freak?! you can't beat that, and backin carson up is my boy Jermaine Brooks from the Hogs. I'm excited about this. BUT I'm still afraid that though this team has most of the pieces of the puzzle, the offense still needs a little work and I think one more year and they will be there. They are on the verge right now. I predict the cowboys will be a wildcard team in the playoff's finishing second in the NFC East behind Philly. But I believe the boys will win at least one of the two games this year against philly. And be prepared for the NFC East to return to it's dominance of previous years with Philly being possibly the best team in the NFC, Dallas on the verge of greatness, and Washington back under Joe Gibbs, all three teams are looking great. the Giants well.....they're the Giants.
