I am not sending this owl to you to declare a desire to see something come ever see you again dare suggest that what happened between us meant something. I was a fool and allowed pent up frustration to get the better of my senses. I fear we were both under their powers and we acted in a way we attempt to discourage others from on a daily basis.
I hope you decide to inform Lupin, and that you do go back to him. I also hope that you will not forget my offer of saftey here at Hogwarts, or that should things ever grow strained between you and Lupin, that I could be your secret keeper. I know I have a disreputable past, but people change. If Lupin wishes to have words with me, he knows where to find me. I have no where else to go.
I regret not coming to see you personally, but I never want to see you again but I am actually a coward. There is no denying that, and to even attempt would be a waste of both my time and yours.
