Been wanting to donate to No on Prop 8 for some time now - and saw in
furr_a_bruin 's journal entry (
furr-a-bruin.livejournal.com/560663.html ) that the HRC is having a "double down"
So I went to the website, and was pleased to see that they included a "Country " selection, suggesting that non-US residents could make a donation as well... Some of the previous donation forms would only take contributions from US residents...
So i fill out the form: Select $100 bucks (which counts for $200!), fill in name, address, credit card details and such... Then hits Submit..
1st error: The street information is wrong. In Denmark, we type the road name before the house number, so my address is "Nedergade 50, 2nd floor"...
Well ... I changed that to "50 Nedergade, 2nd floor", then hit the Submit again...
New error: Wrong ZIP code for the credit card.... Well duh.... We have postal codes in Denmark, but apparently the website is trying to match my postal code "5000" to some US address...
I try to change it to "DK-5000" - but get the same error...
Then again .... If this contribution form was open for non US residents, why is ZIP Code a required field...
Why does it have to be so hard to contribute.... ?
