Friday we had a barbequeeeeeuhhhh... at work. It was enjoyable. Some of the guys were throwing around a football, and for a brief while were playing touch football, but everyone wore sandals or flip flops because we are on a tropical island during summer, so the game didn't last long and they resorted to playing catch. At one point, one Staff Sergeant Blotzer (aka Sgt. Gravy, if you'll recall) actually LET THE BALL SAIL TWO INCHES PAST HIS HEAD AND MADE ZERO EFFORT TO EVEN TRY TO CATCH THE BALL. So we made fun of him. Then they decided to call me out since I wasn't out playing catch (I already know I can catch, thanks). After a while we started to take everything inside, and my old boss, Sgt, Grames, called out my name and immediately threw the ball to me.
Yeah, caught THAT one like pro. Seriously, I can catch pretty good, but I caught that one PERFECTLY. People were all like, "Ohh!" And I was like, "Sup," lol. Then I tried to throw it... I made it there but I had to make a funny noise in order for it to go far enough :p But it was a fun day overall.
On a related tangent, the gov't still owes me 3000 plus dollars. I'm going to go take care of that tomorrow because I like money.
Oh, and for that matter, I have a new goal in life. Baruch has me partially inspired but it also has to do with what I personally have been contemplating. I want to own a home within the next 3 or four years. Not RENT a home, OWN a home. If I save up pretty much all my money from this point forward in the Air Force, I think I'd have enough to make a pretty decent downpayment, and on top of that, I'll have the VA loan I can fall back on in a pinch. I think I wanna get a home in Corvallis since I plan on attending OSU anyway, and I wouldn't be too far from everyone in Albany. It'd be FUN! And plus I figure I could do something like Baruch, just have a live-in roommate to help pay off the house. Anyone interested? :P
But aside from that, I played video games for 7 hours straight yesterday. Haven't done that in well over three years :P It was awesome - very relaxing. Me and Marcus were just chillin' in his room, I was playing Halo and he was playing either FarCry or Half-Life 2 for is compy (it was a little bit of both). We got SoBe's and chips and it was awesome.
Today, me and Rouse and our buddy Demers are going to go to the driving range and once again demonstrate that we have zero golf skills but MAN do we love Happy Gilmore that ball around.
