FAN EXPOOOOO

Though I'm still using the CN Anime tags, it really is more Fan Expo to me now since I've fallen away from anime as of late. Not that I don't still like it, there just aren't many series out at the moment that I like. Well anyway, the con turned out to be rather fun! A lot of the enjoyment came from the fact that, for the first time in a long time, I had a successful cosplay experience. It's NOT a perfect costume, what with it being made last minute from scraps/stuff bought at Wal-Mart, and the fact that it's held together with iron hemming and hot glue...but it still actually looked pretty good. Not many recognized me and I'm okay with that, but what really made the costume and the con was the fact that it filled Scott McNeil with enough glee that he said I made his con.
And what costume is this, you ask? Waspinator from Beast Wars: Transformers! (As a human, that is. I could not make a mech suit that complicated.) Here are the main pictures - taken in my hotel room, but hey, it still works:
When Scott realized who I was actually dressed as, much spazzing and hugging was abound. The hug that made my con was the one where in the midst of it, Scott did Waspinator's infamous final line ("Waspinator happy at last."). ♥!! Good freakin' times.
BONUS!! A very silly little photo story involving a vending machine (which, ironically enough, actually wasn't working):

(I asked him and his friend (whom you can't see here unfortunately) to go along with this...although I'm sure if they didn't, they probably would've given me funny looks anyway. Though they did recognize me was Waspinator right off the bat, so they get bonus points)

- Pose against a prop "Who Watches The Watchmen?" wall if you watch the Watchmen (kudos to Grant for the dynamic, diagonal camera shot. XD)

- Storm Hawks cosplay - I don't even watch Storm Hawks but they look cool

- Zombie guy jumping out and scaring poor me-Waspinator (Yeah it's goofy, but it seemed like a cute idea and really, I just wanted a chance to twist the antennae up in "surprise")
