Macross Frontier the Movie: Wings of Farewell
Tonight was the Fathom Event screening of the second Macross Frontier movie (Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa). As an alternate retelling of the second half of the Macross Frontier TV anime, events unfold differently and the conclusion was quite different. Kano Yoko created new music for the movies. This movie released in 2011, three years after the TV anime released in 2008.

Today would be Day 0 of Anime Expo 2022 but I can't go. It's finally back after unable to be held in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic. However, I am glad that I was able to see this in theaters at last. I love Macross Frontier and now it is finally free from the constraints of Harmony Gold for official USA release.
Anime Expo will run Friday, July 1 to Monday, July 4. It's already completely sold out.
