I remembered this morning that I never did day 30 of the movie meme, which was "your favorite movie of all time," so I'll combine that with my usual Friday post here. I have a lot of favorite films, many of which have been mentioned over the course of the meme, but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be
The Princess Bride.
True love and high adventure. I think this movie is perfection. Such wonderful writing, characters, and performances. It has such wit and spirit and is so very quotable. I saw it approximately one zillion times during my formative years. I am close to Fred Savage's age, too, so when it first came out, I was very much in the "Is this a kissing book?" camp with him. I also grew not to mind those parts so much. :)
