Thank you, Mystery Author, for such a sweet story. I, too, want to believe that Severus was clever and forward-thinking enough to want to survive, and that Minerva twigged what was really going on. I also was warmed by the thought that he and Hermione would have spent some quiet time together during the summer before her sixth year.
