I Googled Ghillie Dhu was and found the topic quite intriguing. I'm sure after all those years in the Forest he's more than thrilled to take a hot soapy bath...among other things. I'm glad this little story had a happy ending as well.

I particularly enjoy the opening of this, since it shows a softer side to Snape as he takes care of the children of Hogwarts. But then you give us the beginning of a love story between these two! Wonderful!

I too had to look up info on Ghillie Dhu, and found such a charming description of gentle faerie lads who help and protect lost people in the woods - children, mostly. Severus certainly fulfills the duties as described, and your story is equally charming. Well done!
