OMG! I got to skim LJ in the five minutes before travelling back to the UK and I find THIS! WOW! I'm very, very impressed.

I literally have to close my computer right now, but I will be back tomorrow I hope to have a much closer look. This is AWESOME!

I'm very impressed at the textures you've got which make the fragment look like real stone, and the ink? etching? seem very much a part of the distressed surface. The lines of the figures are so true to the style of the period, and though, yes, the hair is a little out of keeping, I feel sure that a Severus and Hermione in the wizarding society of that age would definitely have been depicted with their most recognisable features intact. Somehow, you've managed to make Hermione look as though she's biting her lip - I love that.

*blushes furiously* Thank you so very much for the amazing compliment! I knew when I saw the prompt that I needed it because I couldn't get the image out of my brain. I'm very glad I managed to produce it (even when it turned out I'd ended biting off a lot to make it look right).

Wow.
I have never seen anything like this before, and it is absolutely amazing.
I am really interested in Ancient Eygpt, so when I saw this prompt had been claimed I was so excited, and you created something far better than anything I pictured.

Thank you for creating something so perfect :D

Wow. Just... wow.

Not only am I in love with your Severus/Hermione version of Akhenaten and Nefertiti, but the amount of detail in the hieroglyphics is amazing.

MA, you have gone way above and beyond with this piece of art. Brava!

SS and HG as this ancient couple makes a lot of sense. =)

Doing art "in the style of..." is difficult.

:) They do work really well, don't they?

It is hard! If it's not quite right, the mistake would be glaringly obvious. I was so excited I didn't care though!
