A fascinating AU! The end was a bit rushed for me - I would have like to have seen how Severus and Hermione's relationship develops, and there is no doubt that this story could be expanded into a full-fledged epic - but all in all, I enjoyed it very much.

Thank you! Yes, I ran out of time, steam, and space towards the end… I might expand, but it would probably be some intervening one-shots instead of a full story.

Thank you. Yes, keeping them ignorant was one of the hardest parts of writing this; I kept coming up with comparisons and 'as opposed to's and had to forcefully bat them out of the way.

This is wonderful! There are so many great examples of character study in this story, and I can't help but point out a few of my favorites. Like this: Since this was the winning side, Severus was content to allow this perception to continue until he could make his own decisions. Very savvy, Sevvy. Do what serves you the best! And this: Without the Marauders around, there was no one (yet) to encourage the bullying and loathing he'd known Gryffindor for (unless Lupin was influencing young minds), and Ravenclaws didn't seem to be interested in the power games Slytherins played. OMG, Severus. You are a TEENAGER and you're using the phrase "young minds" about your fellow students? I can just hear the words in his voice.

Thank you! I may add some more in-goodness knows there were situations & scenes I had to drop to make it in time/space-but they'll probably be slice-of-life one-shots instead of a proper continuation.
