Thank you so much Mystery Author, for the clever way you brought my prompt to life. I was immdiately captivated at the start and just as eager as the main characters to find some clues about what was happening. I also like the idea of the eight of them as friends, it shows how everyone has found a place after the war and new friendships have been formed and the idea of them playing games and getting pissed every other weekend sounds properly British to me :)
Despite my curiosity to see the mystery solved, I was in fact glad there was no overnight solution, because it shows that even with magic, some things might take some time.

It was really fun and insightful to see how the eight of them found their way in the muggle world and how they viewed their lives now they were forced to live their daily life without magic. You showed how it broadened their perspective and showed them their real priorities, even in the choices they made after their magic was restored. I think they all kept more ties to the muggle world than they had before this experience and Hermione and Severus even seem to use it as an opportunity to start a whole new life.
Whether the culprit was a new Dark Lord in the making or just a sort of mad scientist looking for revenge we'll never know, but despite his evil intentions he has changed the life of eight good friends for the better, even if this happened through a bumpy ride.

So there is actually more? I really look forward to your extended version and I am glad you were so thrilled (and relieved?) that I like this version already so much.

You know, I had no particular genre in mind when writing this prompt, since I think it can be anything from mystery, adventure, love story to humour. The only thing I wanted was something creative, in character and original and a happy ending and you gloriously delivered in all aspects!
