@#*&%$ stupid chapter (writing whinge -- feel free to ignore)
I want Heart and Soul to be done. Done, done, done. I have a love/hate relationship with that fic. I love the storyline, I love plan for it. But gah. Sometimes writing it is not so much fun. I know I referred to a few chapters in this fic as "The Chapter from Hell," but this one, this one is REALLY The Chapter from Hell.
I have, at last count, NINE completely different versions of the same chapter, at least two of them are finished and were sent to betas, and yet I am about to begin version ten. Not that the betas had a problem, but there was just something niggling at me that wasn't right.
I've never had such a troublesome chapter. It's insane. Every time I think I've figure out the problem, I go in and fix it, only to find another problem. ARGH. It's so annoying.
I'm hoping version ten is the one ... because if it isn't, I'm about ready give up and say sod it.
(Not that I would abandon it, but it would probably be put on the back burner again.)
