Do I see a bit of AR in this one? And the white hair, white rose and RUNES. Beautiful, wonderful work.

Gorgeous! I love the way you've played with the light on the rose and his hair. The whole thing is gorgeous.

OMG, I was so taken by his white hair that I had to stare at it for a while. This is amazing! I see his last breath, but I believe I also see the ghost of Hermione's hair, coming to swirl like it always did, lovingly around him.

Truly beautiful, (not-so) Mystery Artist. This is very lovely and emotionally evocative.

After reading the two pieces on which this is based, I am even more touched by the beauty of your art. The loving details you have included, like the tiny potions vial, and the graze on his cheek, not to mention the perfectly drawn white roses (and yes, I include Severus as one of those roses), all make this so moving. As someone with a bit of familiarity with your work, Mystery Author, ;) I am particuarly moved by how you aged him, no only by the colour of his hair, but by his face as well. I do not know how artists like yourself perform these miracles of line and imagination, but the effect is so beautiful to me.

I'm sure Irish is absolutely over the moon about all her gifts, but I suspect this one in particular will bloom in her heart forever.
