Lovely Day
Two pleasantly interesting things happened today.
Whilst waiting with Dani and Addy for Jessica B-W to show up on sign out day, Mr Armitage offered me a job as a student teacher for piano with a starting rate of $10/half-hour. Being the man of formalities that Mr A is, I was of course asked to send him a "letter" upon my decision to accept the offer. It has been written, signed and enveloped.
Then, whilst watching a DVD and absent-mindedly working on a jigsaw puzzle with Addy, the Department of Education and Training rang to offer me an interview for that Teacher Education Scholarship. It is a shame that B Science/B Education (Secondary Mathematics) at USYD is a long way down my list of preferences at 8th place. I don't think I will ever face the need to resort to this option because propects in terms UAI and MBBS are looking rather good. Nonetheless, it is an opportunity and I am not one to easily let go of opportunities.
