The trials are done and done, to state the blindingly obvious. So is it time to take a deep breath and relax? I think not.
I don't feel I've performed as well as I would like to hope. Having a jam-packed exam schedule for the first week wasn't particularly helpful, but I did have some five or six days to prepare for MX1 and I'm feeling the most confident about that. Biology and Chemistry were quite good, but I feel no certainty for MX2 and the two English papers. The trial exam has got to be my worst performance in MX2 this entire year, and with those dreadful marks I got for the Wuthering Heights assessment I really don't know what to make out of the English papers.
Enough said, speculation is waste of time and energy. Sorry AOS. Sorry Imaginative-Journeys-oh-so-full-of-speculation-and-inspiration. I'd prefer to wait for reality to smack me across the face.
I realise that I never got around to report the results from last term's assessments. The ranks mean nothing any more and I'm prepared to see changes up and down with the release of the trial results in the coming weeks.
The UAC letter arrived. They're still using my old name although Miller said she would contact BOS and UAC about the name change. I need to remember to see Gleave on Monday about that. After about half a dozen re-shuffles, this is what the list looks like for now:

On a slightly different matter, I got invited to some Talented Science Student Program by USYD. I don't know how they got my address because I certainly provided them with none. I do wonder whether I should start feeling special and "talented" or if this just some publicity scam in which every registered Yr 12 student in NSW is regarded as so.
On a totally different matter, I'm getting new spectacles. I thought I'd waddle along on to the materialistic side after buying a (rather nice) jacket for a shocking four dollars and ninety-five cents and buy myself a pair of Versaces. They will be ready in 2-3 weeks.
