No, never heard of anything like that. How do you make $1300 on disability?

well to be exact I guess I get $1360. I get money under my own record and my dads record since I was working and became disabled before 21? Or whatever that rule is. I was suppose to make more I guess. But that was the limit they can give someone in Michigan. Meh....

Oh. Yeah, I forgot that disability is a lot more than SSI.

Wow! I got on disability when I was 16, and only started with $525! Now that I am 27, I still only get $674 to live on, and I am also in Michigan... What I could do with $1,300!

Thats a pretty low amount. Although only at 16 I assume maybe then you didnt work up any credits under your name then or?.... Whatever the case because thats so low you should be able to get SSI as well I think. Or have you tried that already?

I don't know if I have tried to get SSI also, but I was denied Medicare, and can only use straight Medicaid, which is also a pain, because hardly ANY Dr.s will still take Medicaid patients. I did only work at McD's for about 6 months but that was after I had gotten my SSDI.

How can you be denied medicare? You get it automatically once you get disability. I think its like a couple years or so after you first applied for disability its suppose to start. You should probably check into that.

I did check, trust me. The guy said I would have had to be living with my parent(s) still, or have had a job in the past, or have a parent on disability or something. Don't remember exact details, but he said I didn't qualify.
