newest update
wow. so its been quite some time since my last update. sorry, i know that no one really depends on my blog for their life sanity, but here it is anyways. several new items have happened with my life so i figured it would be good practice to make a periodic update.
So, to begin with I bought a new car back in april.a 2009 Dodge Challenger SE. V6, corners like a beast, 27mpg highway, 21 city milage. decent. about the same as my malibu got. cost me about $26,000 after taxes, etc. first day i got to Ft. Sill, OK, someone let their door go in a high wind condition and their door swung into mine, denting it right on the body line. fantastic. fucking asshole.
i served my time in oklahoma for roughly 2 months. my god if there is a worse state in the union, i don't want to know it. the average wind speed is roughly 30 mph. if it rains, it does so for about 3 days before becoming 90+ degrees everday and 50+ mph winds. a kiowa helicopter unit was stationed here which is cause for minor concern if i get Kiowas like i kinda hope i do.
Andrea and I have move into an 1300+ sq ft apartment in Dothan, AL 36305 from our roughly 600 sq ft apartment on park st. Bob is talking about coming up here from Pensacola, FL next weekend. We just bought a brand new sectional sofa in chocolate brown, a new washer, and a new dryer for about $1400 total. pretty pleased about that. we plan on getting a new cat in the next few months, after our cell phone contract expires at the end of next month. as of D-Day, the LG Versa looks like a pretty good phone. or the samsung Omnia. Don't have to make our decsion till 30 July. Heres to hoping Verison has a better network here than Sprint. half the time i'm roaming here. my phone battery dies in like 2 days rather than 5+ i had in carbondale. almost a brand new battery too.
perversly enough, i find myself not quite hoping that someone is stupid enough to try to break into my apartment or car. the car automatically disables the ignition and launches an alarm, plus the fact that i have a .308 caliber assault rifle, and a .40 calber handgun to defent my posessions, and honestly i'm a better than average shot. 1 shot kill. try me. i dare you.
so far tonight i have watched Catch Me if You Can, Titantic (just finished) and Independence Day (just switched it on), drinking half a bottle of Jose Black + Coke, plus a few Juenling lagers, which i'm pleased to say i finally have access to via the class 6 depository. $50 for a 1/5 of Jose Black, 2 6-packs of Juenling, and a 12-pack of Blue Moon for AJK.
andi jo straightened her hair last night. i really really like when she straightens her hair. granted shes hot enough without the straight hair, but its such an added bonus when shes got straightened hair that i don't pull out whenever i play with it. i mean thats something i've done since i was a baby. not gonna break me of it now. we discovered the local irish pub, Hooligans that i kinda liked. i mean i know we'll find other bars to go to, but this was a pretty decent bar as far as i'm concerned. a lot like callahans in most respects.
seriously though, andrea and i (her especially) are missing our c-dale friends. its really a lil lonely to go out with just the two of us to a brand new bar, just for the hell of it. matt and amiee are down here too but they kinda have their own lives and we can't lean on them for everything (they've been here about a month longer than us to date). trying to make some more friends in my 'class' but its rough, random going right now.
