(no subject)
so, i got a hold of the Chinese Democracy leaked songs yesterday afternoon and i've been listening to them over and over again. i must say, they grow on me with every listen. strangely enough, i'm wicked excited for this album to finally come out (almost as excited as i am for the Rick Rubin produced Metallica album to come out next year and the new Tool album this spring). i really did the mix of Robin Finck and Buckethead's solos. Finck is very good at imitating Slash (the solos were FLAWLESS when i saw GNR play in 2002) while Buckethead is very....well...Buckethead.
finally got the new Bigwig album yesterday and i can already tell this is gonna be the CD that i'll be listening to on repeat for a few weeks. it's not as poppy as their last album, this one has a bit more of the hardcore elements. but it's all good in a very "Rise Against" way.
tomorrow it's off to NoFX in Worcester. finally get to actually "see" them (i "heard" them at warped tour 1999 from behind a giant cloud of dirt and dust).
