had a pretty decent weekend. took my brother to see the Roadsteamer in Somerville friday night. excellent show, quite hilarious. sean thoroughly enjoyed it and Robby was happy to see that i came.
saturday brought Tara my old iPod, and she ended up coming out with me for the rest of the day. went to Boomerangs, picked up a computer from this guy in Waltham, and went to dinner at TGI Friday's. a very pleasant day.
went to Ken's at night to have him check out the new computer and the parts and we watched Acid House, a movie based on the book by Irvine Welsh (who wrote Trainspotting). ok. everyone needs to see this movie immediately. it was such a surprrisingly awesome movie. done really well. in the begining it started off very Trainspotting but then took a complete left turn and we were glued. the dude who played Spud in Trainspotting is in the last story. see it, see it, see it.
worked a yesterday, but got out at 6. did laundry, hung out with Sarenna, and played with my new computre.
ok, so, the new computer. i paid $350 for a G3 Wallstreet frame, that was completely gutted and turned into a G4. with upgraded logic board, processor, ram, usb 2 card, wirelss card. PLUS, dude gave me enough extra parts to build 2 other Powerbooks, a wireless keyboard, a docking station, and 3 full charging batteries. talk about a score. i'm going back to his house tonight to pick up the 2 CD drives that he forgot to give me and check out a new supply of parts he found. yay! my first laptop!
