Surgery Is My Friend
Hi all.
So tomorrow (Thurs. 4-23) at around 11, I am checking in for surgery. I will have an endoscopic procedure to correct a diverticulum in my esophagus. This is going to be a huge relief for me, as this thing has been making eating uncomfortable, and disrupting my sleep badly.
They will keep me overnight, and then send my home Fri. evening. I should be loopy as all get out for a few days, and will be on liquids for a few days, with unknown degrees of overlap.
Then, there will be soft food, and pain killers, and decreasing loopiness and increasing dietary freedom. And sleep, precious un-interrupted sleep.
Look forward to having this done with, and being more of a protagonist in my life, as opposed to a Ingmar Bergman cinematographer, which is what I start to feel like after a long stretch of bad sleep.
