My heart is taken....done...I'll never love another like this

Ok, so one of my friends is an animal person. She has a gerbil, a fish (her room mate also has a puppy and a kitty, making their apartment kinda like a petting zoo) and, the coolest animal, a sugar glider. Her sugar glider is about a year old, and she (we found out only today that Digi, the glider, is a she, having thought she was a he for the past 8 months) is cute, but nocturnal, so I don't get to see her except when she's asleep. Well, digi and I got along alright, but I went with Jess, my friend, to get another glider, presumably a wife for Digi. We went to the exotic pet store and they had baby sugar gliders...these things are the size of my thumb, furry and shy. I'm in love. Jess named the new baby Nikki. (Oh, sugar gliders are essentially flying squirrels, cute, cuddly and personable) So after buying the bride to be, we went to another pet shop where they had a clue about the animals they were selling, where they proceeded to tell us that the sugar glider we had bought had been taken from her mother far too early (indicated by the lack up bushiness in her tail). They also told us that our "man" Digi, was a she. But i've decided, i don't care how much they cost and how much care they require, they're the cutest things in the world...right now the baby has to go through the "bonding" stage where jess wears the little thing in a pouch around her neck so that it gets used to her smell and schedule and whatnot...well, i'm babysitting for a little. so i'm wearing a small cloth bag around my neck with a cute little critter in it...I love it. Did I mention how cute it is? So yeah, before college ends, I will own my very own sugar glider...no question.
