Prologue

It had started out as one night before leading to a series of others. Heads and bodies pushed together as limbs entwined with each other, alcohol fuelling the already heaving passions between them. Neither of them had thought about what could happen, what did happen - they just wanted the night to last.

Those nights were just that. It was just a fling. It wasn’t serious, until it happened. Something changed and neither knew what to expect. It was supposed to be one of those nights, until she wasn’t there. She’d stood him up at the party and he’d fumed, getting drunk and fucking the first girl that would take him. He’d found out where she’d hidden a few days later - one of their mutual friends had told him. She’d been crying her eyes out for days, refusing to talk to anyone.

He’d gone to see her, not knowing why. She’d been crying just the same, not bothering to really acknowledge him. He’d turned to leave and she’d called out to him, yelling at him the reason why she was like this - it was him.

"I’m Pregnant!" She yelled at him, pushing herself back against the wall as tears streamed down her face. He was close to leaving and she was in her sophomore year of pre-med. Her parents would hate the idea more than the fact that they hated her being in medical school. She was 19 and pregnant. She didn’t have a boyfriend or someone to support her. She was scared shitless and she didn’t know what to do.

He’d left just as harshly as he’d entered. Her tears had streamed faster and he’d headed to a bar, getting drunk again. She’d seen him later out of surprise. He’d come back to her, drunk as a skunk. He didn’t say a word, his mouth just crashing down against hers as his tongue fought with hers. She was shocked and tried to fight him off, though the lust that she felt for him and the need to be fucked took over - she wanted him just as much as his drunken self wanted her.

"But..." She’d tried to complain. He’d just ripped her shirt off, fiddling with her bra as his mouth crashed back down onto hers in a furiously impatient kiss, quickly silencing her. Once again they tumbled backwards onto the bed, their limbs entwining with a heat and passion which was how they’d gotten into this mess. Neither cared, or at least once cared less than the other. He was drunk and she was finding a way to cope. It wasn’t good, it was extremely messy but somehow they seemed to make it work.

When morning came she was scared, and sick. She spent so long throwing up that she thought he’d be gone by the time she came back, but he wasn’t. He was still there, laid in her bed and smiling. The sight of his peaceful smile was enough to make her smile back, though she wondered what would really happen.

"You’re really...?" She nodded. It had taken her long enough to believe it - a couple of pregnancy tests later and a visit to her doctor’s told her that she was definitely pregnant whether she believed it or not - she did now.

"Wow. I mean... a baby?" She nodded again. She didn’t have a clue what she wanted about this. She hadn’t wanted him to find out the way she’d told him but she had and now he knew. She didn’t know what he wanted and she wasn’t going to bother to try and work it out - everything was too confusing with it just being her thoughts involved.

"This is..." She sighed.

"Go." He frowned at her, wondering what the hell she was talking about.

"Go." She repeated. "You don’t need to be here." She walked back out of the room. She wasn’t sure whether she wanted him to stay or go, though for now it was easier to think alone - and throw up some more.

When she’d asked him to leave he was pissed. Pissed at himself, pissed that he hadn’t done the good thing and made her his girlfriend to start off with - they acted like a couple anyway so what was the difference? When he’d first seen her he’d been amazed at her. She was so young yet she had so much focus and determination that he didn’t believe was possible - she’d managed to prove him wrong so many different ways. He’d gotten her to talk to him and then they’d slept together. And again, and again. And now this. He was confused but he was amazed - he hadn’t actually thought that it could happen. Neither had bothered with protection but neither had actually thought about the consequences - neither had cared.

He’d sat himself with friends to try and distract himself but all he could think of was her - she was brilliant, amazing, beautiful and now carrying his baby - how could he not? They’d noticed something was up, trying to find out what it was. He wasn’t listening, he couldn’t. He’d finally left needing to talk to her. One of her friends knew where she’d gone, hoping that she was doing the right thing by telling him - she was worried about Lisa and didn’t know what was going on, and she hoped that he could help.

He’d got a cab to her location, pushing through the smoke until he saw her sat in one of the booths. She looked a little better than earlier, though her appearance didn’t matter to him - she was always beautiful.

"Smoke’s bad for the baby." She looked up at him in surprise, almost knocking her glass over as his voice startled her. He slid into the booth sitting opposite her, smiling at her a little.

"So is alcohol." He pointed at her glass, trying to pull it away from her. Her hand was quicker and she snatched it back up, drinking a little from it.

"Apple juice. What are you going here?"He smiled at her, pulling a half-lopsided grin at her.

"Saving our baby from the life you’re giving it. Smoke, alcohol and sleazy men." She frowned.

"There’s no alcohol in me and sleazy men aren’t anywhere near me - just you." He pretended to be hurt but quickly changed it into a smile - that was the first thing he’d found out about her when he’d spoken to her, that she could easily match him.

"But there’s still smoke - bad for you and bad for baby. Come on." She looked confused. She still wanted to know how he was here and why he was here.

"Just come with me - I want to talk." She watched him carefully for a couple of minutes before draining her glass, sliding out of her seat before waiting for him.

He led her back to campus, taking her back to his room - this time they would actually talk. He offered her the chance to sit down before he did, watching as she cautiously sat across his bed - as if there was anywhere else to sit. He sat on the other side of the bed opposite her, his eyes occasionally glancing down to her stomach.

"Stop watching me." He smiled a little at her, trying to make her feel comfortable. She seemed weary of him and he didn’t blame her. What was happening between them wasn’t anything either of them had expected, last night was making it even more complicated.

"You said you wanted to talk." His eyes flicked back up to hers, blue staring into blue. "So talk." She’d leave if he didn’t and he didn’t want her to go - he loved her company and they needed to talk.

"Why aren’t you my girlfriend?" That threw her off a little. Her mouth opened and closed quickly, her surprise obvious at his question. "You match me, we have fun and we have sex. Why aren’t you my girlfriend?"

"Because it wouldn’t work. And the sex is occasional - it’s a fling." He leaned back against the wall, his blue eyes piercing hers as he analysed her statement.

"How do you know?" She laughed a little, shaking her head.

"You’re Greg House. You’re a legend, I’m an undergrad. You get drunk and sleep with other women - that would hurt." He shook his head.

"I did that once." She frowned.

"Right. Who says you wouldn’t do it again if something went wrong? If we fought?" He shook his head.

"You’d have to trust that I wouldn’t." She shook her head. She wasn’t prepared to trust him or get herself into something which could either come back to bite her on the ass or hurt her - she needed to protect herself.

"Fucks sake Lisa. We argue already. You’re pregnant with my baby. What is there about us that doesn’t scream relationship?" She shifted herself from where she was sat, pushing herself to the edge of the bed before sliding off.

"That was what you wanted to talk about?" She turned to leave but his hand caught her arm. He pulled her back towards him so forcefully that she fell back onto the bed. His hand moved to her face, brushing her hair behind her ear before pulling her into a strong kiss.

"Don’t ever doubt me Lisa." Her head dropped after they’d broken apart. She refused to look at him. She was surprised, confused and... shocked. He kissed her forehead softly before tipping her head back up.

"You trust me when we have sex. Why can’t you trust me now?" She shook her head lightly. It felt as if he was playing with her, testing her emotions and if she said yes it’d all be some cruel joke.

"That’s different." He shook his head back at her, his hand running back through her hair before falling to her cheek, lightly stroking over it.

"It’s the same." She wanted to disagree with him, to fight it on him but she seemed unable to.

"I can’t." She shook her head. "I can’t do this." He nodded, attempting to understand.

"I can wait." He planned on waiting, trying to convince her to do the right thing and be with him. He wanted to be with her baby or no baby. Occasional sex wasn’t enough; he missed her when she wasn’t there. She smiled a little, laughing at his attempts. It’d be a long road for both of them.

Chapter 1

"Ready to date me yet?" She jumped as she looked up, placing a hand over the book she was reading as she settled back into her skin.

"No. Especially not if you do that." He laughed a little, sitting opposite her to keep her company or to distract her - either would work.

"I’m trying to study." Her eyes had already flicked back down to her book, ignoring him the best that she could. She knew he was there, either thinking of something to do or just there as a distraction - she hated it when people watched her whilst she was studying.

"I know." She looked up at him briefly before looking back down, ignoring him rather than reading.

"You’re distracting me." He laughed again.

"You’re smart - you already know that stuff." She looked up frowning slightly. She might be smart, she might know it but she wanted to make sure that she did know it.

"What do you want?" Her eyes stayed locked into his, curiosity flickering over her. He grinned as he finally gained her full attention.

"To try and convince you." She shook her head slowly. Bugging her at every moment about wanting to date her wouldn’t do anything, though she had to give him points for trying.

"I’m busy." He grinned back.

"I’ve done that. Come with me and I’ll help." She shook her head again. She wanted to think and study - both of those were done best alone.

"Just... give me some time." He nodded, smiling at her as he left her table.

"I’ll be back Lisa Cuddy!" She shook her head a little. He wouldn’t leave her alone until he’d gotten what he wanted which meant he’d never leave her alone or she’d give in - neither of those options were preferable.

She couldn’t deny that she liked him but she didn’t plan on having a relationship with him - she’d never planned on it, though she hadn’t planned on this either. She enjoyed being with him, sharpening herself against him and debating medical topics with him. The sex was even pretty damn good which is why she kept going back to him but now... now she needed to think.

Now that he’d disturbed her she couldn’t concentrate. He’d caused her to think, to make her think of things she wasn’t ready to even fully acknowledge - damn him. She sighed, leaning back in her chair as she closed her book. She needed a new distraction.

He’d called her later wanting to talk to her. She’d been close to hanging up on him but he’d caught her attention. He wanted to talk to her again, to discuss everything that hadn’t been said before - he wanted her to know that he wanted her, that he needed her. He wanted her to be his girlfriend and he also wanted her to be the mother of his child - he wasn’t going to let her go through it alone. She’d cried a little after she’d finally hung up - he wanted her to be the mother to his child but she didn’t even know what she wanted to do. Personally abortion wasn’t an option for her - she didn’t like the idea and she didn’t want it to happen. She’d still be 19 and pregnant though she had 2 options left, with one person seemingly pushing heavily against one of them - things had just gotten even more complicated.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

"You want me to have the baby?" This time she’d surprised him, finding him in the med student lounge a week after he’d called. She’d thought a little bit but she still didn’t have a clue, she didn’t know if she’d ever - thankfully the lounge was fairly quiet, letting them talk about this in peace.

"If you don’t that’s your choice but... I want to be with you, to help you." She nodded.

"Why me? In the beginning, why me?" He grinned.

"You held your own against me. You yelled at me without knowing who I was and you didn’t care. You’re beautiful and you’re brilliant - there aren’t many people that are like you and I wanted to know you." She blushed a little but nodded back.

"And you want to date me because...?" He shrugged but that wasn’t enough for her, making him think of how to put his thoughts into words.

"I like you. I want to be with you. I want more than just occasional sex. I want you, I need you." She shook her head.

"You lost all the points you’d just gained when you mentioned sex." He frowned.

"Points? This is a game?" She shook her head.

"No but it’s helping me to decide things about you." She paused briefly. "If I wasn’t pregnant, would you still be saying this?" He nodded before she’d even managed to finish her question.

"I hate that you’re not already my girlfriend that we’re even having to talk about this when we should be talking about what to do." She thought for a minute and nodded.

"Okay. Let’s talk about what we should do." He sighed.

"I didn’t mean that. We need to sort out us too. It’d be easier if you were my girlfriend and I’ve wanted that since the beginning. Why won’t you listen to me on this? Trust me?" She opened her mouth to say something but shut it quickly, frowning as she had to think.

"We’ve been over that." He shook his head.

"You said that you couldn’t trust me yet you’ve told me some pretty strong stuff before this - isn’t that part of trust?" She sighed and eventually nodded - he was right.

"I’ve told other people some of the stuff that I’ve told you." She tried to get herself out of the position that he’d put her in. "But a relationship? I can’t do that. I can’t do that in or out of my current situation, especially not with you." She saw his expression drop a little, watching as he looked a little saddened.

"And the baby?" She shrugged a little.

"I have no idea what I want. But I need to know now - if I do keep it are you in or out? I can’t have you change your mind later on." He nodded, understanding her point.

"I’m in; however you want me I’m there." She nodded and smiled a little, standing to leave.

"Lisa?" He stopped her as she started to walk away, standing up himself. He stepped closer to her as her curiosity of what he wanted stopped her.

"What?" He grabbed her quickly, kissing her tenderly as she attempted to voice her question. Her mouth opened under his, letting him deepen the kiss. He pulled away after a few minutes with a slight smile on his face.

"You can’t say that you didn’t enjoy that." He walked away from her, leaving her mind to revel in what he’d just done. Damn him! He’d kissed her and she’d ended up kissing him back. He’d use that to try and say that he was right but he wasn’t, was he?

She’d gone to his dorm room later that evening, wondering what would happen once he’d opened the door. He’d seemed surprised to see her but had quickly let her in, watching as she sat on the bed. She patted the seat next to her, kissing him quickly once he’d sat down. He pulled away once he realised what she’d done, looking at her in confusion.

"Lisa...?" She pulled him back to her, her hand falling to his chest as she felt his mouth open to her tongue.

"Trust me." She was trying to learn to trust him. She’d realised that she’d need to with the baby regardless of their relationship, or lack of one. Kissing him and once again sleeping with him was to test his reactions to her, to let her know if she could trust him, if he trusted her.

Chapter 2

They woke awkwardly entwined the next morning, their limbs entwined as she half lay on him, his arm wrapped securely around her waist. She’d managed prop her head up on her arms, laying them on his chest while he still slept. She left her legs tangled with his and the sheet, figuring that it would be easier to sort it out once he’d woken - plus he looked cute when he slept. She wasn’t sure whether or not she’d really said that though she’d have to trust that she did - she also needed to trust herself.

Last night had shown her that she could trust him to give her a good time, that she could trust him to trust her - either that or he just wanted the sex. She could trust him to...

"Good morning." His breath tickled across her face a little. She looked up finding his head cocked down to try and look at her. His arm slid from her waist, allowing her to lift herself up from his chest a little, slipping her legs from his before pulling the sheet back over them. He was surprised to feel her snuggle back up to him, to feel her head rest back against him with her arm around his waist but he didn’t question it - to him it felt like she should be there, as his girlfriend.

"How’re you feeling?" He felt her smile against him, her breath warmly tickling him as she spoke.

"Pretty good... for now." He nodded, wrapping an arm back around her to stop it from feeling awkwardly laid next to her.

"Can you trust me?" Her laugh was soft and quiet - he’d figured out why she’d come to him last night.

"I’m currently working that out, though there are some things that I know I can." His hand rubbed over her waist as his fingers smoothed over her, resting lightly before stroking at her waist again.

"Good." She nodded, yawning a little at the early morning. "Are you staying?" She nodded again.

"For a few more hours - I don’t have class." He smiled. It wasn’t what he’d meant and she probably knew that - he’d take those few hours that she’d given him.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

"Hey Lisa!" She stopped in her tracks as the familiar voice hit her ears, turning round with a slight frown on her face.

"What do you want?" He frowned back at her.

"Is that any way to talk to your boyfriend?" He grinned as he joked. "Saw you walking and I thought I’d give you company. You really should wrap up better - don’t want you or the baby to freeze." She frowned as he held out his jacket for her, slipping it on as he emphasised his point with it.

"Thank you." He smiled, watching her as she softly shivered as she warmed up a little. She frowned and started walking again, heading back inside.

"I heard that you were leaving." She looked up at him with surprise.

"How did you know?" He shrugged - he’d heard it from someone. She nodded slowly. "It’s just for a few days. I called my mom last week."

"She knows?" Lisa nodded.

"She’s not exactly happy but... she’s not saying much about it - she’s leaving it to me." He smiled a little and nodded.

"Can I come? As your boyfriend and all..." She frowned.

"Firstly you’re not my boyfriend. Secondly no - that wouldn’t be good for either of us."

"Why?" She sighed as she pushed the door open, heading down the corridor to her room.

"My dad would love to kill you, which is why I’m telling them as little as possible." He laughed a little.

"Lisa Cuddy, anyone would think you were ashamed." She glanced up at him quickly before looking back in front of her - it was her business but she wasn’t exactly going to shout to the world what had happened.

"When’re you leaving?" She leaned against her door as she looked back up at him.

"Tonight." He nodded slowly.

"Need some help packing? I can tell you which underwear of yours is my favourite." She smiled, barely stopping herself from laughing. She shook her head.

"I’m already done." He nodded as he stepped closer to her, brushing a strand of hair from her face before quickly kissing her cheek.

"Call me when you get back." She nodded, watching as he walked away. That seemed actually... sweet of him. She stepped inside slowly and sighed, remembering that she still had his jacket as she took it from her shoulders - at least she’d have a reason to call him.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

He seemed surprised to see her at his door a few days later - he’d expected her to still be at her parents, or not wish to see him. She smiled a little and held something up to him.

"You left this." He smiled back at her and took the jacket from her - he hadn’t minded leaving it, figuring that he could collect it another day.

"Wanna come in?" She nodded slowly, stepping through the door as he moved back a little, staying on the spot for once as he shut the door behind her. She seemed uncomfortable being there but he didn’t say anything, just sitting on the bed and indicating that there was still space for her. She lingered a little more before sitting down on the bed, crossing her legs underneath her as she faced him.

"You came all this way to return my jacket?" He asked when she hadn’t said anything. She looked up at him from where her eyes had settled and shook her head.

"No. I came because..." She sighed, shutting up quickly.

"What?"She shook her head but that only caused him to prompt her again.

"I figured out that I really do need you." She laughed softly and explained it further. "My parents ended up asking a lot of questions and it just made me think of some things. I guess I can’t do this alone and... if I like you enough to sleep with you then..." She smiled, kissing his cheek softly.

"Lise?" She nodded a little.

"If I have to trust you then you have to trust me." He frowned slightly.

"I thought you didn’t want this?" She shrugged.

"You do. I lied. I said no because I was scared, because I didn’t want to get hurt. I need you and I want you." He smiled back at her, pulling into his arms.

"I would never hurt you." She smiled, wrapping her arms a little tighter around him.

"Hey Lise..." She looked up at him from where her head had lay on his chest, her body curled a little around his. "What actually happened at your parents?"

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

Lisa had taken a late flight up to her parents. She was here because she needed a break yet she knew that these few days would be filled with more questions than she really wanted and a lot of uncomfortable situations. This was for the best though, she needed this break and she needed to see her parents - as much as they annoyed her she still loved them.

Since the flight was late out her mom had told her to rest for the night and she’d see everyone in the morning. Her dad was still out at work and her brother was out partying or something - her mom hadn’t paid too much attention, just making sure to let her know that he was safe. She hadn’t been back home since she’d started College, or at least not for a visit that wasn’t on a holiday.

The next morning her mom fussed and worried over her - morning sickness bites. She’d gone downstairs extremely pale, still feeling quite ill. Her mom had tried to get her to eat something but she’d refused, especially after her mom’s coffee made her ill again. She eventually ate after having some dry toast forced on her.

"You need to eat Lisa - for the baby and for you." She ate just to please her mother, to make her shut up for now and because despite her sickness she felt a little hungry - it seemed that was enough.

"I doubt your brother will surface till late afternoon." Her mom had told her - the fact that he’d been out partying the cause of that. Her mom was still surprised at how different her children were - Max studied and partied and Lisa just studied, and apparently had sex. She saw her mom watching her with curious eyes and around a thousand different thoughts milling through her head.

"What is it?" Eliza shook her head.

"It’s nothing baby girl." Her mom smiled through the obvious lie, not convincing Lisa in the slightest. She just shrugged a little, trying to eat some more. If her mom didn’t want to tell her then she wouldn’t - Lisa could never make her talk. Her mom told her to go back to bed for a little more since it was quite early, letting her make sure she had enough sleep and looked better when everyone came down.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

"Insufferable?" Lisa nodded slowly.

"They asked a lot of questions which made me answer far more than I wanted to." She sighed a little. "At least I managed to work some things out." He smiled, rubbing her hair slowly as his fingers slipped into her curls.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

She came back downstairs a few hours later with the colour returned to her cheeks. Her brother had finally gotten up too, sat in the living room with her parents.

"You look a lot better baby." Lisa smiled and curled herself into the armchair.

"I feel it too." She was happy about the fact that the sickness wouldn’t last for much longer.

"How far are you?"Lisa looked back up, glancing from her dad before back to her mom.

"10 weeks." She’d hoped to not talk about the pregnancy too much while she was here but she knew that they’d have a lot of questions.

"What about the boy that did this to you?"Lisa frowned at her dad a little though she could understand the question.

"I’m not with him -that was my choice."Her brother muttered some inaudible comment but Lisa ignored it, as did her parents.

"Does he know?" Lisa nodded.

"I told him but I’m not making him do anything, though he said that he’d help me if that was what I wanted." Eliza nodded, happy that her daughter has at least managed to pick a guy that could care, that was a gentleman.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

Greg laughed softly.

"What else did they ask?" She groaned a little.

"Far too much." She smiled up at him, kissing his cheek softly. "But the questions made me think which lead me to you, which brought us here." She kissed him again. "I wouldn’t change that." He smiled a little and nodded, understanding.

Chapter 3

They managed to settle into who they were - boyfriend, girlfriend, and parents to be. She was scared but she felt reassured by having him around, feeling as if she could do this - they were having a baby. They also now had a viable excuse for having sex, it wasn’t just a fling anymore - it meant something.

Her morning sickness had lessened as the weeks moved on until the one day where she wasn’t sick at all - the day she celebrated with morning sex. She was now 16 weeks pregnant and he teased her constantly about her bump - she tried to hide it but it was gradually becoming harder to do with her small size, even the lightest bloating from her period seemed noticeable to her.

He’d taken her out shopping, buying something for her and something for the baby, promising to come back another day for more. She’d taken a quick look around a clothing store when he’d sent her away, he wanted to buy her something without her seeing it, and looked around, seeing what was in store for her in the next few months. The assistants in the store had been friendly and though she’d only been looking they’d actually helped her lots - she’d remind Greg that she needed to go back there in a few weeks - her clothes were already a little tight now.

Greg had hidden the bag with her surprise in from her nosy eyes and wandering hands, not letting her see until they’d gotten back to his. She’d loved what he’d bought and had shown him just how much, telling him everything she’d learned at the store whilst she lay with him in post-coital bliss. She seemed a little happy with the prospect of maternity clothes but he doubted it was that - he bet that it was the friendliness of the staff, possibly how the clothes looked but that was a little bit of a stretch for him to believe.

"Greg...?" He smiled down at her, lifting her chin a little and kissing her.

"Hey baby." She smiled back and rest her head on her hands, kissing his shoulder softly.

"Think we’ll be good?" He nodded as soon as she’d asked, not having to think about it.

"We’ll be great." She smiled and nuzzled her nose into his neck, kissing him softly again.

"Why’d you ask?" She shrugged a little and closed her eyes.

"Just curious." He smiled and stroked her hair, running a finger over her cheek as he let her fall asleep, thinking a little before he did so too, dreaming about their baby.

She’d stayed at home the next night having a very girly evening with her roommate, makeup, gossip and romantic movies - she missed doing that and she half blamed it on Greg, though she didn’t mind what they did instead - she could still do both.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

Knock. Knock. He groaned as he rolled over in bed - whoever it was would have to go away, it was far too early for him to get out of bed. The insistent knocking continued and even keeping the blanket above his head wasn’t enough to make the sounds go away. He climbed out of bed slowly and unhappily, cursing under his breath as he walked to the door. He pulled the door open quickly with a glare upon his face, wishing he hadn’t once he’d opened the door.

"Lise? What’s wrong?" He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into a hug, quickly turning round with her to pull her inside and shut the door. He rested his head on top of hers as hers lay against his chest, her wet cheeks sticking to him.

She sniffed. "I just had a big fight with my parents." He stroked her head and let his nose dip into her curls, pulling her tighter to him.

"Bit early to be fighting." She laughed quietly and quickly.

"Apparently they didn’t think so when they called." He kissed the top of her head softly before unwrapping his arm from her, walking her over to the bed to sit down. She quickly curled back into him once he’d sat with her, snuggling her head back into his chest.

"What happened baby?" She lifted her head up a little and looked deep into his eyes.

"They called me - bloody woke me up too." He rubbed her back to soothe her tears, looking down at her.

"Told you to stay over." She nodded and rolled her eyes - his hindsight was brilliant.

"It was my mom talking but I could hear my dad shouting in the background. He... he wasn’t happy. About the pregnancy, that we weren’t together... I couldn’t make out much else." She sniffed again and wiped her eyes with her fingers, resting back against him.

"They... they’re not listening to me - about this, about what I want to do or anything. I’m happy and... and they don’t seem to care." He shook his head as he looked down at her.

"They care Lise. They love you; they just want the best for you." She shook her head.

"It doesn’t feel that way." She pulled away a little and wiped her face properly. "Can I stay?" He nodded, kissing the top of her head before pulling her back to him.

"You don’t have to ask babe, just stay." She smiled, looking back up before slowly kissing him.

"You’re amazing." He laughed softly and kissed her back.

"Gimme a min to get dressed and I’ll go with you to breakfast, and then get some of your stuff." She nodded, kissing his cheek softly before shuffling out of his arms.

"Damn good job they woke me before I put makeup on - I’d be even more of a mess then." He shook his head.

"You’re beautiful - always. With and without makeup." She blushed a little and curled herself up.

"Shut up and get dressed." He grinned, kissing her hair before moving to the bathroom.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

She’d made sure to pack enough for a few days, not wishing to have to face any questions from her roommate or any possible calls from her parents - she’d rather be with him anyway. She’d sent Greg out for crackers a while ago, unhappily sharing them with him as he lay with her.

She’d propped a book up on her knees, slowly reading as he tried to distract her. Occasionally he waved a cracked in front of her, or tickled her, or rubbed her belly or did one of many other numerous things to try and distract her. Sometimes it worked but not for very long, until this next thing.

"Marry me." She lowered her book to look across at him, raising a brow.

"What?" He moved from where he was sat so that he was directly in front of her, covering her hands with his.

"I love you Lisa and I want to be with you, both of you. Marry me." She closed her book, placing it next to her.

"You’re serious?" He nodded. "God. Wow... I er..." He smiled at her speechlessness.

"Say yes Lise. Move in with me properly; be with me and the baby." She’d planned on moving in anyway the question was when and God knew that she wanted to be with him. She eventually nodded slowly.

"Okay." He smiled up at her, grinning as she quickly pulled him down to kiss her, pausing just before their lips hit.

"Wait... this isn’t anything to do with my family is it?" He shook his head.

"I want to be with you regardless." She smiled, finally kissing him.

"Do it this weekend." She pulled away from him quickly, sitting up and staring him in the eye.

"What?" He sat up with her, blue gazing into blue.

"I don’t want you to be confused. I don’t want people to doubt us. I wanna be with you and I wanna do this." She nodded, understanding all of that.

"This weekend?" He shrugged.

"Just a suggestion." She smiled and nodded, kissing him again.

"Lemme get used to it, maybe in a few weeks or something?" He grinned and kissed her back, keeping her head held firmly to his.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

He’d given her time to think, not bugging her about it like he had done with trying to make her his girlfriend. He’d surprised himself as well as her by proposing to her but he didn’t care. He wasn’t sure where it had come from but he loved her - he wanted to marry her.

He’d taken his time over the last few weeks, letting her lead for a little bit. He’d gone with her to her appointment and had loved the sight of the baby, again. At 16 weeks she was definitely showing and now she stopped caring and stopped trying to hide it - it was her baby want be damned if she wasn’t going to let people know. Not everyone had a nice opinion of it and she heard whisperings when she walked past but that didn’t matter - she was usually with Greg and he kept her mind busy, stopping it from hurting at that moment.

Every time that she was with him she learned something new about him, though the thing that she learned the most was how much he cared about and loved her. He stopped her from hurting, her made her feel loved, special, sexy and he constantly cheered her up. She wanted to be with him and she wanted that now.

"Wednesday." She stepped over to him, sitting half behind him as she moved. Her breasts brushed across his back as she moved across, her legs sitting around his hips.

"God you’re sexy." She kissed his shoulder softly, moving her hands under his shirt as she snuggled around him.

"Am I distracting you babe? Wednesday." He wanted to say something back to her, or do something with her but he knew that she’d keep bringing Wednesday back up.

"What about it?" She smiled, kissing him again as she ran her hands over his stomach, wrapping her arms around him.

"Marry me." He turned his head to her with a grin. "This Wednesday."

"You’re serious?" She nodded.

"I want to be with you. Let’s do it." He grinned wider and kissed her, pushing her backwards onto the bed. This Wednesday would be... their day.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

He was really surprised at how fast Wednesday came. Lisa had been freaking about it since she’d agreed and he didn’t blame her. Since it was short notice they didn’t plan on having anything big - they also couldn’t afford it and didn’t want it. She’d asked her roommate to be with them, making her promise not to tell anyone - it wasn’t anyone else’s business. Thankfully her roommate was able to keep this secret, allowing Lisa to have the calm day that she needed.

Lisa and Sarah had gone out the day before to try and find her a dress. She wanted just a regular dress, just something that looked nice - it didn’t have to be perfectly special. With Lisa doing that it had allowed Greg to have the day to be able to plan his surprise. She’d said that with College they couldn’t exactly go away for a honeymoon and he agreed, though a weekend away was fine - College wasn’t there on a weekend.

When they’d met up for lunch Greg was saddened not to see her dress - her roommate had already taken it to their room so that he couldn’t see it. She promised him that he’d like it, though he commented that even if she was naked he’d like it - she’d just rolled her eyes, no comment needed.

She’d managed to calm down a little throughout the day though she knew that tomorrow she’d be panicking and scared again - it wasn’t long until they were married and her due date was coming increasingly closer - he hoped that the weekend would let her relax properly, and spend some good old fashioned time as a married couple.

Chapter 4

Lisa snuggled herself against the heat source known as Greg House, curving herself around him and laying her arm across. He was still asleep but she didn’t care, she could just easily lay there with him. She lifted her head from his chest briefly and kissed his cheek, kissing his nose and then his lips before laying her head back down. She looked back up as she felt him move a little under her, his arm wrapping more securely around her waist as he moved to look down at her.

"Morning beautiful." She smiled and put her head back down.

"Hey baby. Did I wake you?" He shook his head.

"No but if you had that would have been a very nice wakeup call." She smiled and shuffled up to his head a little more, kissing him more deeply.

"How’s that?" He growled a little and returned the kiss.

"Best wakeup call ever." She smiled and ran her hand through his hair, ruffling his bed head a little. His hand slid up from her waist and trailed down her back, causing the sheet to slip down a little.

"You’re getting big." She rolled her eyes a little.

"Pregnant babe - it happens." He shook his head.

"I know that. I meant your breasts - they’re bigger than before." She rolled her eyes again.

"Again - it happens." He shook his head again.

"I meant bigger than like... a few days ago." She frowned a little.

"You spend too much time paying attention to my breasts." He grinned.

"Would you rather someone else did?" She shook her head.

"No. And I’d rather you paid attention to more important things than my breasts." He grinned.

"Your breasts are important. You’re pregnant and I’m checking that everything’s okay." He kissed her softly. "Plus they’re brilliant breasts." She smiled and blushed a little.

"Thank you." He grinned, shifting a little before rolling her onto her back as he straddled her.

"Good morning Mrs House." She laughed softly and shook her head.

"I’m keeping my own name babe." He pouted.

"Mine not good enough?" She shook her head.

"It’s good, I just want mine." He shrugged a little, kissing her neck before trailing down to her breasts.

"Fair enough. So Ms Cuddy... got any plans for this morning?" She nodded.

"Yep. Figured I might pee first so get off me." He laughed and tickled her lightly before moving, kissing her ass as she climbed from the bed.

"Any plans for after?" He called through to her.

"Um... maybe. Why, you gonna do that again?" He grinned.

"Get back here and I’ll decide." She laughed softly, poking her head round the doorway a couple of minutes later.

"You want a shower?" He laughed a little back and climbed up from the bed, pushing her into the wall as she pulled him into the bathroom in a quick kiss. "Get in." She whispered, making him walk backwards as her mouth stayed pressed against his.

"Why... Ms Cuddy." She laughed into the kiss before pressing her finger to his lips.

"No talking." She replaced her finger with her lips, effectively keeping him quiet. He didn’t complain he just used it to his advantage, teasing her immensely before pushing into her, driving her crazy as he pushed her close to the edge but stopped just before she fell over it.

"God you’re a fucking tease." He grinned, quickly thrusting again as her nails clawed into him, thrusting a few more times before letting her crash down onto him, releasing himself as she came.

"But you love it." He growled into her hair, kissing her hair before pushing her head up to kiss her again. She laughed softly as her breath returned, sliding her leg back down from him before looking behind him.

"Think you can wash my back without taking me?" He laughed quickly.

"I always loved a challenge." She grinned and stepped past him, handing him what he needed.

"Let the games begin."

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

They’d returned to bed not long after, participating in rounds 2, 3 and what was the start of round 4. He loved the crazy lusting pregnancy hormones, loved the way she looked and the way she drove him absolutely crazy, just as she loved when he did it to her - they fit. They only moved from where they lay for food or if she needed to pee - the one bad thing was her ever expanding uterus putting pressure on her bladder, stopping her from having the fun she craved that day.

She fell back into his arms as she came back from the bathroom, squealing a little as he pulled her completed up onto his chest, keeping an arm under her knees as the other wrapped around her waist before sitting up a little, letting her sit in his arms.

"Shame we gotta go home tomorrow." He nodded, kissing her neck before catching her lips as she turned her head to him.

"I can always bring you back here." She smiled before thinking a little.

"Or... we could just do this at your place." He shook his head which caused her to frown.

"Our place." She smiled and nodded, laying her head against him. "You wanna move out?" She frowned a little.

"I just moved in."

"I know but I doubt that a dorm room’s suitable for a baby." She nodded slowly.

"Okay. Can we afford it?" He shrugged.

"We need to do it - guess we’ll have to see when we get home." She nodded and kissed his shoulder.

"Okay." He smiled and tipped her head up, catching her lips again before taking his arm out from under her knees.

"Get some sleep baby; we’ve got a long flight tomorrow." She nodded and unhappily moved from him, smiling as he pulled her back onto him as he lay down.

"Love you." He smiled and nodded.

"Love you too."

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

The flight home had been long and tedious and Lisa hadn’t appreciated the early morning wakeup call earlier - she still needed to sleep. He told her to sleep on the plane but she shook her head at that. She found it hard to sleep on planes - they were uncomfortable as hell and she generally woke up pretty quickly anyway. He just let her lay in his arms while they waited to board, holding her hand on the plane and drawing little circles with his thumb on it. She’d thought that it was weird, and a little ticklish, but she let him do it, making the best of a tiring flight home.

"Hey baby?" She looked up at him, seeing the smile upon his face and laughing softly.

"I know what’ll make you sleep."She rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"You pick the one time when I don’t feel like it." He smirked back at her.

"Maybe not now but..." She rolled her eyes again and shook her head more firmly.

"Sorry babe." He pouted a little, laughing as she kissed it off - maybe when they got home.

Chapter 5

Greg had called his parents to see if they could help with getting him a place. He hadn’t told them about Lisa in the beginning and he didn’t now, if he did then they’d want to come over straight away to see her and then everything about the pregnancy would come out too - he didn’t want that.

His parents had managed to help him out, sending some money and some ideas of how to find a place. He’d looked around and shown Lisa the ones that he’d liked, happy that she’d agreed on one. He’d told her to let him sort it out, not letting her worry or stress about it, doing everything to find a home for them. When the deeds had been finalised he’d let her shop with him though they hadn’t needed to buy much - the house was already furnished.

He’d moved their stuff over in a few car trips, making sure that she wasn’t around - he had a few of his buddies helping and her being there wouldn’t have helped in the slightest. He’d let her unpack a little but hadn’t let her move any of the boxes when they’d been inside - mostly she’d been allowed to touch the clothes and that was about it.

The moving had taken a few hours by the time it was done. They’d lain out on the floor with some Chinese and a roaring fire, looking at the boxes piled in the living room. She’d lay across him, rolling over to curl around his side to kiss him softly.

"Love you." He shifted to look at her a little, tipping her head up to kiss her.

"Love you too babe." She smiled and moved away from him to curl a little closer to the fire. He laughed and pulled her back to him.

"You’ll burn yourself." She shook her head and tried to wriggle away from him.

"Nice and warm." He laughed, keeping his arm tight around her.

"Stay over here and I’ll warm you up." She stopped wriggling to think briefly before curling against him again.

"You’re nice and warm too." He grinned and kissed her softly, keeping his arm wrapped securely around her.

"Wanna go check out the bedroom?" Lisa laughed softly and nodded, letting him pull her up as he led her up to bed.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

It had taken a couple of weeks for them to finally finish unpacking due to College and the rate that they were actually unpacking at. Greg had wanted a party to settle them in but Lisa had refused - being pregnant meant that she wasn’t exactly much for partying. That had stopped Greg going ahead with it - he didn’t want a party if she wasn’t going to be there. Instead they’d settled in with a movie, a lot of chocolate and sex - it had been preferable for both of them, and a lot more enjoyable too.

"Hey Lise?" She opened one eye sleepily, slowly lifting her head up from his shoulder.

"Sleeping." He kissed her cheek softly.

"Sorry babe. Go back to sleep, it doesn’t matter." She kissed his shoulder as she put her head back down, easily falling back to sleep.

"Greg?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you coming with me tomorrow?" He nodded.

"Of course - when do I not?" She smiled and nodded. "Go to sleep Lise." She nodded again, snuggling against his shoulder as she fell asleep.

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

"Lise calm down." He grabbed her hands to stop her from tapping them against her, squeezing them lightly. She smiled up at him.

"Sorry, just nervous." He nodded and smiled back at her, wrapping his arm around her waist as he waited for her name to be called.

"You’ll be fine baby, just a check - ultrasound, weight... just the same as last month." She nodded, already knowing that. She didn’t know why she was nervous she just didn’t really like being here - she wanted to be a doctor yet she hated being at the doctor’s - irony.

Her name was called shortly after, a nurse waiting for them to take them down to the room where her doctor was already waiting. Lisa smiled as she walked into the room, everything from last month quickly hitting her as she stood there.

"Hi. How are you feeling?" Her doctor smiled back, watching as Greg inched Lisa into the room a little more.

"Pretty good - just a few months left."Her doctor nodded and indicated to the table.

"Just the same as last time and then you’re free." Lisa smiled and sat herself down, squeezing Greg’s hand as he sat with her.

The appointment went quickly and smoothly, letting them leave fairly quickly. Lisa kept a hold of the picture despite Greg trying to take it from her, holding it in front of him to taunt him. He eventually managed to grab it from her, holding it above her head as she tried to get it back.

"That is so not fair!" He just laughed, kissing her softly before giving it back to her, pulling her down onto the couch with him. He tickled her waist lightly before holding her tight in his arms, rubbing her belly.

"He’ll move soon." He nodded, kissing her as he kept his hands around her. Her belly was still quite small but that just made it seem even cuter - she was incredibly beautiful pregnant.

"Nick." She looked up at him from the picture, barely able to take her gaze from it.

"What?"

"His name - Nick, or Nicholas." Lisa smiled.

"I like that." She hadn’t really thought much about names, she was too busy trying to sort out the hectic mayhem that was their lives. "Nick goes on the list." He grinned, moving his head to kiss her belly.

"Hey Nick." She laughed and pushed his head back up.

"It’s on the list babe, lemme think of something for you to veto first." He grinned and kissed her, pulling her closer to him again.

"You watch - he’s gonna be Nick."

Chapter 6

"Hey Greg?" He looked down to the floor at where she’d laid herself, watching as she rubbed her belly.

"What is it?" She looked up at him and frowned softly.

"Something feels weird." He sat up quickly, putting his book down to move and sit with her.

"What is it Lise?" She took his hand and placed it over her belly.

"There." He frowned.

"If its inside I’m not gonna be able to feel."

"Oh..." She blushed a little.

"What’s it feel like?" She thought for a few minutes, shutting her eyes as she concentrated.

"Like... like a softer version of your tickling or something." He grinned and kissed her belly.

"That would be him moving Lise." She smiled, pushing his head up to put her hand back on her belly.

"I like it." He laughed a little.

"You won’t be saying that in a few weeks when he’s kicking like hell." She shrugged, pulling him to her so she could kiss him.

"I like it now." He grinned before pouting a little.

"I wanna feel." She nodded, figuring that he’d want to.

"You won’t be saying that in a few weeks when he’s kicking like hell." He laughed again and kissed her.

"I think it’ll be good." She smiled and placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to use him to pull herself up. He laughed as she failed slightly, taking her hand in his before grabbing her other. He stood up before pulling her up slowly.

"Come on you." She kissed him softly once she’d gotten stood up before slipping away from him.

"Hey! Where you going? I was gonna do that for a little bit more." She laughed softly and turned to him.

"Need to pee. Baby, expanding uterus, pressure on bladder..." He rolled his eyes and waved her off, sitting back on the couch. He looked up as she walked back through, swinging her legs so they were laid across his once she’d sat down.

"I’m gonna take you out for dinner tonight." She smiled and nodded.

"Okay. Where are we going?" He grinned.

"Somewhere special so dress up." She frowned a little.

"Yeah... the dresses I own now don’t fit and I didn’t buy one - I didn’t think we’d be going anywhere special." He rolled his eyes before kissing her hair.

"Good job I planned in advance." She looked up at him in confusion.

"What?" He grinned.

"I bought you a dress but no peeking till later." She smiled and kissed him softly.

"God you’re good." He laughed a little.

"I try."

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

Lisa laughed softly as she pulled Greg closer to her, resting against the door as she pulled him down into a deep kiss. The door acted as her balance as her tired body barely held her up.

"Tonight was... brilliant." He grinned and kissed her again.

"I figured you needed some fun and a chance to relax. You like?" She nodded and kissed him again, holding onto him to keep herself up.

"A lot." He grinned again, pulling out his keys to let them in before he had to carry her to bed - he wasn’t sure how well that would have gone. She slowly walked inside, keeping a hand against the wall as he locked the door before letting him lead her upstairs to bed.

"Shame that I’m tired... could’ve had some fun." He laughed softly and kissed the top of her head as she stopped briefly.

"Morning baby - for now you’re sleeping." She nodded and headed up the stairs, falling into Greg arms as he stopped her from instantly moving towards the bed.

"Undress first baby that dress is too good to sleep in." She laughed softly and nodded, turning round to face him. She moved his hands from her hips to the middle of her thighs.

"Help me." He nodded and kissed her softly, pushing her dress up slowly before pulling it over her head.

"Now go get ready for bed missy - and no falling asleep in the bathroom." She laughed softly, walking away before returning a few minutes later, snuggling into bed next to him.

"Night baby." She whispered into the pillow, smiling as he moved closer to her and wrapped an arm over her. He brushed her hair behind her ear and softly kissed her.

"Night Lise."

----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------HUDDY----------

Lisa wriggled against his body, the water around them moving as she did. He laughed a little and pulled her back down, stopping her from moving before kissing her neck.

"Quit moving." She looked up and kissed the underside of his jaw, pulling his head down to her. He picked up some of the bubbles in his hand and dropped them onto her nose. She tried to blow them away as the fell but she failed, causing them to fall onto her instead of just her nose.

"Child." He grinned and kissed her neck again, tapping her nose with more bubbles. She laughed softly, running a wet bubbly hand through his hair.

"Two can play that game." He grinned, moving his head back a little as she reached up again. She frowned when her hand missed his head and hit hers instead. She sat up a little from him and half turned her body to face him.

"Come here." She whispered, turning round fully to face him. He moved forward a little to kiss her, pulling her down onto him as he moved back. She deepened the kiss and ran her fingers through his hair, slipping down over his body a little. He laughed and pulled her back up, securing an arm around her waist.

"Mmm wait a minute." He looked down at her in confusion, pulling his arm away as she sat up.

"What is it?"She sat up straight and placed a hand over her belly. She rubbed softly, ignoring him as she thought.

"He moved." She looked back up at him, moving back a little closer.

"He kicked?" She nodded, guiding his hand to where she’d felt it. He rubbed softly as he waiting, letting her lay back across him before rubbing again. "I felt it." She smiled and turned her head to kiss his chest.

"That’s your son baby. Nick." He tipped her head up to look at him.

"Nick?" She nodded, pulling his head down to hers.

"Nick. I didn’t think of anything for you to veto." He laughed softly and kissed her.

"I told you so." She nodded and placed her hand on top of his.

"That you did."
