Sooo close...

So yeah, I went back to Polk Works (this one employment place in our city) today for my interview with Target. It's funny since the ad for Target for the mass hiring said that it would be on-the-spot job interviews, except it wasn't quite. You had to fill out a bit of papaerwork and then a 70-question survey, and then they tell you to come back the next day.

So anyway, both CJ (a good friend that had also applied) and I went inside to the lady who we were told to go to by the lady outside. We both said our names, and after that we proceeded to wait in their main lobby for our "group" to be called. Our group consisted of around 13 or 14 people, and it was the last of the day. We went into one room and watched a video for a few minutes and the d00d who was running the stuff told us about salary and dental and health plans and etc. We all got out of that room and waited in another to wait for our names to be called for our interviews.

After a while CJ's name was called first, and then right after someone came for me. She seemed nice enough, and the questions she gave were fairly easy to answer, so she was like "Hey, don't be nervous. I'm going to give you a 2nd interview" and I'm like "", so I go back into the place I waited in the first time. After like 20 minutes or so a guy came in and got me, and we went to his officle (cross between an office and a cubicle), and he asked me some more questions about myself and whatnot, and then he said either that I'd know tomorrow whether they want me (since apparently that is when they are making their decisions) or that I'd know sometime within a week or something. I forget. Either way, I feel really good about the chances of me getting this job, and seeing as how they needed around 200 people, I would be disappointed to NOT get it. Oh right, for those of you wondering I applied for the Sales Floor Customer Service type d00d who helps stupid people find stuff. The guy who ran the video said that entry-level team workers (meaning me) start out at 6.25 an hour and get an automatic raise of 50 cents after 6 months, no matter what. Oh, and paychecks are weekly.

PS: CJ didn't get past the first interview apparently and they told him whether he'd have a job or not within seven days, or something like that.
