(no subject)
Well, it's been a long, long, LONG time since y'all have gotten some info on my life via live journal. Most of you probably know roughly what's goin on in my life right now, but for those whom i havn't talked to in forever, here's the skinny, slimmed down (pun intended):
I am going back to University of Maryland in the fall. I will be a Junior again, but my advisor thinks I can finish in only 3 semesters, which will only be a total of 3 and a half years that I actually spent *in* school. I am dropping my Comparative Religious studies minor, and am going to just focus on the Women's Studies and LGBT Studies. My interest has veered strongly into Human Sexuality in the past couple years, and I think that's the area I'd ultimately like to pursue - but in what capacity, I'm not sure yet.
On July 18th Elissa and I will have been together for 6 months. I can't beleive it, because I simultaneously feel like it was only last week that I met her, and like I've known her my entire life. Things are occassionaly rough, but most of the time she makes my life too beautiful for words. I am a lucky lucky girl. She will be coming down to MD with me at the end of August, to share my life there. I am nervous - all the what ifs float round and round my head - but I am thrilled to know that I will have such an amazing companion with whom I am so very in love to share this new part of my life.
And as if having Elissa at school weren't going to be enough, I will also have Megan, my best friend since I was in 10th grade, at UMD for Grad school! Then there's Dave and Becca who will be at St. John's in Annapolis, and I just found out last night that Erik accepted a job offer in Bethesda, and he and Laura will be moving to either there or Rockville come the middle of this month. Honestly, I owe a big thanks to someone out there, for dealing me such a wonderful card in this upcoming school year. I might be leaving Pittsburgh to return to school after a three year hiatus, but I will have 5 of my favorite poeople in the whole world all residing within an hour or so of me! This makes me want to do a little dance of happiness! *Dances happily*
Well, it is late ans I am a sleepy girl. I willtry to post additional current infor soon. I think I am going to revive my poor old lj. It's been a while, and I kinda miss it. And to all you out there that I havn't talked to in months, or years - I hope life is treating you well, and that you are happy. I would love to know what everyone's up to, so please, drop me a line!
