They are set to detonate when they get near him, rather than trying to hit him directly. The Kampfer appears from its hiding place to engage the enemy directly afterwards!+

(9:49:19 PM): [Resnick] Even as the fith begins, the rebels are already falling back and regrouping, their communication becoming a massive amount of chatter... but it's also highly coordinated! And in fact, a trio of Xingbas are already taking to the sky and attempting to flank your flanking maneuver... countering with their own stream of missiles and chaingun shots to tear up your own forces' lin as well!

But then with practiced and disciplined ease, several of the Zilongs return the favor by firing leg-mounted grenades into that building as you burst free!

It's almost like this thing has a fully-auto railgun like the Corona has! Thankfully your shot does manage to cause something to explode off in the distance, but that last railgun shot it lands blows off the Zeta's left leg as well.

(10:09:45 PM): *She's been gritting her teeth ever since the sounds of battle from above started, so the chance to actually do something is perversely welcome. The outermost layer of her cloud puffs away to fill the tunnel like chaff or anti-beam gas, while the heart of it condenses into a clear, round shield, curved to deflect, which she holds in front of her and Lily as she minimizes her profile in the air and moves to skirt the ceiling, manuvering erratically as she keeps barrelling forward. If they can aim at them... and if they'll risk firing at the tunnel roof... the fog should still stand an excellent chance of spoiling the shot.+

(10:13:14 PM): [Lily and Laura] The shell slams hard into you two, enough that it actually knocks you back and smacks you both into the wall. But the barrier defense holds... and as flashlights shine down in the tunnel you can hear the guards shouting out to load another round and quickly. But while that's happening, you're now coming under fire from a steady stream of light-arms fire as well. They're not going to just give you downtime, you know!

(10:18:22 PM): *Laura leads them both to the tunnel floor while the sound of reloading comes from the railgun, reforming the shield to smooth away the damage it took absorbing the shot and keeping it up in the way of the light arms fire. "Lily, take the shot! I'll help you!" She shifts her grip on the blade in her right hand so she can reach back and touch two fingers to Lily's arm, a little Sophium flowing along the connection to swarm about Lily's gun.+
