[ A rare sight. Char would be found in the center of the mess hall, hand-typing a small, rather formal-looking letter. It didn't have the White Chalice's insignia on it, but it did have Char's hand-written signature at the bottom. Someone skilled at snooping would be able to read a good amount of it before he noticed; he appeared to be thinking far too hard to pay attention to his Newtype senses, thus preventing anyone from reading it. He was also visibly upset. ]

To Whom It May Concern;

It is with great pain and hesitation that I find myself writing this letter. Having spent the greater part of my life serving the Principality of Zeon both on the battlefield and off, I have found myself to be irreconcilably at odds with the views and actions taken by the Principality's leadership. I cannot, in good faith, endorse, partake in, or condone the acts perpetrated by the Steward of Her Ladyship Mineva Zabi, shamefully claimed to be done on behalf and in the best interest of spacenoids as a whole. These acts include, but are not limited to:

• Attempts to reignite the One Year War long after the need for bloodshed had ended.
  
• The unwarranted and unpardonable execution of Citizens of Zeon, both direct and indirect.
  
• Holding the belief that the Principality of Zeon should conquer the Earth Sphere, rather than gain its well-deserved independence.
  
• Holding the intention to commit atrocious war crimes, including, but not limited to, colony drops on the earth's surface.
  

It is for the above reasons - among others - that I am hereby announcing my resignation from the Military of the Principality of Zeon effective immediately.
