Hitchhikers [Action]

With the lack of a world wide comm network, there was no way for the crew of the White Chalice to hear of it, but huge swathes of the Earth's surface suddenly changed with a flash of blue light, whatever had been there before being replaced by strange, alien landscapes and various strange cities.
As the White Chalice slowly drifts across the landscape, it came across one of these. Where there had previously been a small town, mostly untouched by the chaos of modern Earth, there was now a dense forest. Only on the very edge could one see what looked like the edge of a high school track and field.
Oddly enough, it looked like there were two figures standing on it, waving at the ship as it flew by. Looks like they're trying to signal for a ride...

A short time later, someone saw fit to pick the two strangers up, revealing a teenage boy of some unrecognizable ethnicity in a red tunic with a sword, and an ordinary looking japanese high school aged girl in a school uniform with a duffel bag. The two of them just got off the shuttle that took them up, and are standing in the hangar looking around nervously but with undisguised curiosity.
