Fourth Weave - Dream Study!

[In a small room off the Prominade Vigil seems to be doing some sort of something. His core unit is projecting images which are... very random. They are often nonsensical, and bounce around. His avatar on the other hand, is sitting in a chair... asleep?]

I've never seen dreams before being projected. How very interesting!

It allows me to perceive them using different sensory inputs. I have never experienced dreaming before, so studying them from various perspectives is preferable.

Really? So you're studying them, is that it?

Indeed. While my Avatar can sleep and is capable of dreaming, I do not require REM sleep nor do I require physical relaxation to function, so my experience with them is rather limited.

That would make sense. Trying to figure out various new things is always fun.

Indeed. Dreams are most peculiar. I do not quite understand what determines what they contain. My avatar has dreamed about the moon turning into a rabbit, word conjugation, history books and my core unit turning into various things. At one point it had what would probably be qualified as a nightmare about my core unit melting.

Well people say dreams are meant to help order the mind, trying to process many things over the course of the day. Sometimes it just creates fanciful nonsense, other times nightmares to express emotions.

Curious. So essentially, you do not have a concrete understanding of dreams either.

Not really. I just enjoy them when I sleep that's all!

Indeed. I suspect that, with the exception of nightmares and night-terrors, that is how most people view them.

Even nightmares have their place. It sorts our fears and worries, and compiles them into bad dreams. But it helps us control them as much as possible.

I see. I will have to experiment more then. See how my Avatar reacts to similar stimuli before and after I have a dream regarding said stimuli.

That would probably be for the best then. To learn how it works.
