[Arika's in a pretty good mood. She's making new friends, she's adopted the start of a new family, and she got to be really cool and beat that giant monster. Granted, she's still a bit weirded out by using a person as a weapon, but... it was cool!]

Shoutaro had stepped out onto the deck in order to let the wind billow through his clothes and look cool as he stared out into the horizon. If Akiko saw him now, she'd probably bean him with a slipper. Before he could cross over to the rail, the Half-boiled detective saw someone he recognized sprawled out on deck looking out into the sky. An idea coming to him, he walked over to Arika, and laid down beside her. "I was right. You're even more adorable in person."

[No way would she bean him with a slipper... she doesn't have a bag to carry one in!]

[Yeah, she's blushing again. At least Philip isn't here to want to know why she's blushing?]

[Just going to power on through] Nice day out, isn't it? Is that why you're out here?

[Because Shoutaro would have to be the one to explain it to him. Dickeido would just laugh]

Yeah... It's nice, not having to worry about anything. It's even better though when you have friends to share in the revelry. Don't you agree?

You wanna do anything? Tsukasa and I went flying, but...

Hmmm... [fishing through his pocket, produces a deck of cards.] Ever play old maid?

Old maid?

[Nope, she hasn't]

[fifteen minutes later.]

[Arika has been kicking his ass for the past few rounds, but he seems to be coming back this time. It all comes down to NOT picking the ace, and picking the Joker. Just before he can make his choice (his hand hovering over the ace), the wind picks up, blowing all of the cards off of the deck!]

GAH!!! [He gets up.] I'll be right back, I'm going to see if I can't find another deck. [leaves]
