[[Nope. Not going to deck you, or even confront you.

MarKus has ordered the disassembly of the Straybird, to repair the Rushbird.

He's not doing any hands-on work... he's in no mood, but luckily they haven't started getting to anything serious yet. ]]

[After being told that he couldn't see Ichitaka for a while, Yuunagi heads back to the hangar, planning to help on repairing Rushbird to ease his guilt, so he sees Straybird being taken apart, and pieces of it being moved over to the Rushbird.

Normally, he'd throw a fit over seeing this, but right now he has other things to worry about, namely the state his brother is in. So he walks up to the crew and surprisingly speaks up.]

Doing that will only result in two useless machines. Your men lack the knowhow to repair the Rushbird's damage.

It's about ten times better than not doing shit. Besides, you don't deserve this thing right now... he does.

So... yeah, fuck your shit and the bird you flew in on... We're fixing Ichi's machine, like it or not.

...And I'm telling you you'll get nowhere. This isn't just a broken arm or a severed leg - the entire energy conduit system has to be restored.

Even if you had the required parts, you won't be able to accomplish that without someone who knows the inner workings of the machine.

[There's a moment of silence as he ponders it, but he eventually gets to the point.]

...Let me help.

Yeah well...

[[Okay, he's got nothing. Not saying he wouldn't try anyway just to find out on his own.]]

How do we fix the fucker?

Aside from the parts, you and your crew can focus your work on the exterior...leave the interior damage to me.

[He walks up to the Rushbird and gives it another head-to-toe glance.]

Rushbird's conduit systems are complex; its been built to accommodate extra energy absorbed by the Laplace Wall. I don't know how long it will take to repair completely, given the extensive damage, but it can be done.

Nop. I'll leave the outside to them, sure, but... someone else needs to learn this shit in case you decide to pull another dick move like earlier.

I helped build my machine, so don't think you're some fucking godsend protege. I can learn this if I watch you.

And what the hell was all that shit about anyway? You couldn't see that we were fighting off those Lovecraft motherfuckers? [[Christ he curses a lot! That's that hot-blood for ya!]]

You're welcome to do so.

[There's some confidence in those words, but he doesn't really argue and just gets to it. Work is his outlet for his feelings now.]

And you wouldn't understand it...even Ichitaka doesn't.

And nobody will if you don't say anything.

Yeah, I get that's the point, but, you're gonna have to spill it eventually, might as well do it now while someone's willing to listen and not wreck your face based on sheer principle of what you did.

[While Yuunagi knows that's true, a lifetime of keeping his feelings to himself isn't gonna change overnight, so...]

If my actions warrant such violence, then I'll accept it. In fact, I already have.

[Yeah, it's gonna be a looooong road to rehab for him. And with that, he starts to make his way up to the Rushbird's cockpit.]

OR... you can quit being a little bitch about it... Jegus...

Whatever man... just show me how this shit works. There's people on the Chalice that want to know how the fuck this engine has such a high fuckin output...

[There's a pause in his movements when the engine is mentioned. He's reluctant to say it, but...]

The Rushbird's D-Converter is undamaged, so we don't have to tamper with it directly for now.

Moreover...only my grandfather knows how it functions in detail...

[[Or do that. It's a cop-out but it effectively changes the subject.]]

Uh... So there's no way to reverse engineer that shit? Lame. Well at least it ain't fucked up. At least you ain't gotta do thus alone. A guy on the Chalice wants to know how this works too. At least his computer thing was able to run specs on it

[That's him for you.]

Reverse-engineering isn't possible without my grandfather around. That's why those people...

[He cuts himself off there.]

...I prefer to work on my own, but as it is, I have no other choice. Let's just get this done as soon as possible.

Yeah... you're gonna have to knock off that solo thing pretty quick... That ain't gonna hold out for too long.

But, we got some ace mechanics back on the Chalice... Besides myself obviously. I bet between the three of us and Lowe's fuckin super computer thing, we can figure it out.

But for now, let's get this fucker workin.
