Okay, I should probably say something after all. Yes, I said we were with the White Chalice during that Celestial Being mission. No, I wasn't thinking about the consequences of it ( Read more... )

Hiding intent is useless. If anyone wants to attack White Chalice because of its allegiance - let them come. They will have to prove superiority with their own power, or be crushed.

However, this situation creates an entirely different problem...

What do you mean?

Are you happy to admit that circumstances force you to ally with the Celestial Being?

Be it an alliance of convenience or not, it still means your actions and beliefs are dictated by theirs. A strong human acts independently.

We weren't forced to ally with Celestial Being, we chose to! There's nothing shameful about cooperating with people who share your views.

You have not been there. Celestial Being and White Chalice were initially enemies.

Do you share views of the Celestial Being, then?

They're trying to erradicate war. That's a good cause.

Eradicate war... by eliminating all strong enough to wage it.

In other words, powerful organisations and sometimes even individuals are at risk, all because they are judged a danger to their vision.

It is true that this stance may create a world of no conflict, but only because there will be no fights when everyone is too meek to raise a fist.

[And suddenly, KAMILLE! THOUSANDS-No, wait, just the one, leaning against the wall before moving towards the pair.]

What they're trying to convey is a message, to stop fighting amongst ourselves and focus on more important things. They're stopping conflicts between other nations and organizations in order to do that. Warring amongst ourselves will just cause the Earth Sphere to collapse upon itself.

[He turns to the girl from Rauha]

Right, Nadia?

Trying to convey a message to stop fighting by inciting fights themselves.

Well, it would obviously be better if we could erradicate war by peaceful means, but there are definitely people who won't listen to reason, so maybe they'll listen to force.

Besides, they don't incite fights, they intervene in conflicts that are already in progress.

Such actions will of course garner the ire of militaries and people world-wide, but at that point the world has begun to unite against a single cause, even if it is us. Quite frankly, it's a thankless job, but when you have groups like the Titans and the Britannia-Union preaching policies of Might Makes Right, sometimes you need to punch people in the face to get them to listen.

I prefer subjugating the rest of the world to it making the martyr or an enemy out of myself.

But do not forget - I am not a member of Celestial Being, and neither are you. It is naive to think everyone on board shares their goals and philosophies.

So what? What's wrong with working together with others when your interests coincide, even if you're not part of the same group?

To change beliefs of other people, by force or argument - you need to be strong.

There is no strength in numbers. The only way to achieve personal strength and conviction, is to act alone.

Acting alone is a surefire way for you to end up DEAD. When you work with other people, you can support each other, cover each other's back in the field. Out there alone, you're just a big target.

You feel as if acting alone is the source of your strength. Maybe it is.

That doesn't mean you have to shove that tripe down our throats.

If you're so convinced that you have to act alone, then why are you on the White Chalice, anyway?
