It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World [Mad and Herb and Roger]
The bar wasn't exactly Paradigm standards, but it would do. Roger knew all about the recent terrible trauma and bad stuff that had happened to Mad, had been told about her recent attempts to kill both herself and others, and the unfortunate fate of her black and yellow Dom, Maria.
Roger was a smart man, though. He knew it was not ever a wise choice to try to negotiate with a party that was irritated or upset unless there was no choice in it, so he waited a bit before talking with Mad. He was still in the waiting phase, letting her cool down and solidify back into a person, when the idea came to him that maybe she would want a little help cooling down.
It was with that idea that he found himself seated at the bar, motioning for the barkeep.
