[Jab!  Jab!  Straight!  Hook!  Now the same but in Southpaw stance!  Julia is really working herself up as has become sort of a thing as she goes through a routine of shadow boxing, but as an egg timer begins to buzz she suddenly stops!

That's the beauty of it! This isn't like a triathelon where training for one event helps you noticeably with the others; it's a sport that requires you to be well-rounded and capable in more than one field.

Yeah... Irgelions have a few board games like this but nothing that requires the same level of tactics.

It's something that's really withstood the test of time.

[A quick glance at the chess book that had came with the game. Castling? Oh well now the game was just pulling rules out of its ass!]

Currently your options have been rather cut off. You need to try to counterattack or you are going to be trapped in your side of the board.

[Samus is analyzing the board with a cold stare. She's not used to chess, but she's good at small-squad tactics, and some of it translates...]

[She looks at the pieces at her disposal before having one of her knights move into position to either take the enemy's rook or queen, bypassing several pawns along the way.]
