[M1 was where she normally was after missions, in the wheelwell of her plane. She hears something ad pokes her head down to see a big snout in her face.]

"What?"

The pup noses and sniffs her. This one smells odd, like ICE fuel.

"I have been asking her that for the past several hours."

"Doggy breath, yay?"

[She slowly reached to pet the puppy that can stand high enough to meet upside down her.]

"Hello there, what's your name?"

"Truthfully we do not know yet. I have been thinking of naming them after the fallen...Perhaps this one could be Kaya."

The dropship pilot who'd sacrificed herself to get him onto Terra and his sibkin. The pup stretched up to lick her.

[Names after the fallen. Fits with the honor that the Wolves emanate.]

"Hey, that tickles."

[Still upside down, looks like the wolf likes her.]

The pup pays no heed, licking her face excitedly. Resnick is chuckling.

[She lowers herself slowly and unclips from the plane. The Wolf following, and continues licking as she lands. She stands up and walks to Resnick.]

"Okay there, back to your boss."

[The wolf probably does not care.]

"Good thing I like dogs...I know it's a wolf but still."

Resnick laughs then. "A Strana Mechty dire wolf, even one that is just a pup, does not consider any human their boss." And indeed she seems to not yet want to leave her alone, looking up at her with big, melting eyes.

"Well Master does not fit you guys, and Owner does not fin the wolf...Pack Leader? Yeah Pack leader."

[She pets the puppy some more.]

"Besides, if you don't keep an eye on them, I might decide to keep one. Though I would not know what to do if they get bigger than me...Whosa good wolf!"

"We would not trust just anyone with our totem..."

Which showed a bit of the trust he place in her. This one seemed to think so too, leaning into her touch.

"Though you are right, they will get quite a bit larger than you."

"True, true."

[Almost disappointed... if it wasn't for the happy wolf next to her.]

"I am honored that you have all this trust in me. It seems that this big one trust me to."

[Trust, an idea eating at her mind recently.]

"If this is how big they re now, how much bigger do they get?"

"Adults the height of a man's shoulders are not unheard of. You should see them on the tundra of Strana Mechty...My sibko instructor had us camp out to watch a wild pack once."

[Her thoughts went back to the movies of old for a minute.]

"Are all the animal in space giant? Do we have to worry about the 50 foot spiders?"

"Neg, the Goliath Scorpion is a mere two feet long." Reassuring, huh. "This one has taken a liking to you. Would you object if she came to visit you again?"

"No I don't mind, though at least let me be right sided."

Do you often find yourself upside down? That and your love of flying makes me think you are like a Snow Raven, though not so gossiping.

[The wolf pup has evidently decided M1 is fine and lain down at her feet.]
