[1[Considering she hasn't been seen since her arrival three weeks ago, you'd be forgiven for not knowing who the random girl with a green jacket tied around her waist running through the halls is. Every so often when she comes to a room, she stops in to look around... but other than that, she's moving at a brisk pace through the ship. She's tossing

[Hana had sequestered herself room, focusing more on sketching out ideas and working more on magical formulae... only to stop and blink as she saw Jukai peek inside.]

...Huh? Y-Yes, can I help you?

Oops, sorry, is this your room? I can leave...

[But she's being nosy and looking around a bit while she's here, catching sight of Hana's work and finding herself unable to not comment on it.]

...What are you working on there? Designs for something?

Ah, um... [she wants to hide it all and be protective of it, but she reigns that in and lets Jukai see it.]

...just a few odd doodles here and there. My unit runs on magic and I've just been tossing around a few ideas here and there... that, and it gives me practice...

[Jukai catches the defensiveness and keeps a bit of distance.] Hey, I'm being nosy here. If you'd rather I not look, I'll stay over here.

But that sounds neat. I can't plan beyond having ideas in my head. I could never work out actual designs for anything. It seems like a good thing to be well-versed in. Having any luck?

[And Hana quickly shakes her hands at Jukai.] No, no! Don't be like that! It's okay, really! [And almost in reassurance, Hana beams brightly at her. No harm, no foul.]

As for having any luck, not yet. I did a few designs long ago, but I think I'm just goofing around this point...

Mm! Okay, then. [Jukai moves closer to get a better look, stopping just behind Hana and taking a look. The look on her face says that she's got some idea what this is supposed to be, but she's not totally following.]

I wouldn't say that. Anything can help you figure out how to make yourself better at what you do. It's how I taught myself fighting, so I know it's true. [The girl smiles at Hana.] Not that I use magic or anything, technically, but I think it still applies.

Mmn, right...! Oh!

[She quickly gets an idea and starts doodling something, and it's quickly becoming a little more clear Hana had some idea for a mech. Of course, her idle headshake's causing her not to worry about it.]

Oh, I almost forgot - I'm Nanohana, but... y-you can call me Hana if you want to!

[Standing off to one side, Jukai examines the design with more than a little interest.] I think you could have some real talent there. Don't sell yourself short. I'm not too good at any of this myself, honestly. I mean... I have a sword and a hoverboard. Not exactly creative.

[At that, the girl perks up, smiling.] I'm Jukai. Nice to meet you, Hana!

And it's nice to meet you, too, Jukai!

But... don't sell yourself short, either. You could probably do a lot with what little you got, right?

[She looked back at her designs and tilted her head.]

Maybe I'm starting out too big... though that hoverboard... [she shakes her head. Getting way too ahead of herself.]

Mm, I can get creative with what I have... it's making new things that's going to be a problem.

[Jukai shrugs.] Sometimes the ideas that come easiest aren't the simple ones. And you're welcome to try and duplicate this; I don't mind. Although, I can just make more in a pinch, too.

[The girl closes her eyes, and the light in the room seems to brighten before all seeming to swirl into the shape of... another hoverboard? Indeed, another Sunbeam appears, leaning upright against a wall.]

[And Hana is impressed by the sights, gawking at the sudden appearance.]

H-How did you do that? That is... wow...

[She takes up the hoverboard, still impressed by it all.]

It's this thing here. [Jukai puts her right hand over the VFX Modulator clipped to her left arm.] My VFX Modulator. Something about rewriting space and time to make things in my head happen in reality. But it takes a lot of work to get something concrete enough that I can summon it like this. It's definitely solid, though. I'd demonstrate, but... we're kinda in your room. We'd break something.

Wow... [Hana IS fascinated by what she found out, but time/space stuff? WAY out of her league! She's still handling magic!

She shakes her head at Jukai's offer.]

It's okay, I believe you. Though, I think you have a lot of potential as well. If you can make something like this, who knows what else you can do!
