Every so often when she comes to a room, she stops in to look around... but other than that, she's moving at a brisk pace through the ship. She's tossing

[Yui's sitting out in the arboretum, enjoying the view.]

Oh. Hello again.

Oh hey, you're that girl from the other day. How have things been? I've, uh... [She's clearly fishing for an excuse, anything other than what she was about to say.] I was just looking to make sure everything was undamaged after that attack the other day.

[Although, she does pause at the gardens.] These are really well kept.

Yes, they are.

Things have been quite nice here as of late...this is a good place, with good people. I like it here.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised. For being a ship that fights aliens and terrorists and such, most of the people are genuinely good. I think it'll be a good place to be... if I could stop getting lost...

[Jukai walks over to Yui, pausing next to her.] Mind if I join you?

Huh? Uh...sure, go ahead.

[Yui moves over some, clearing a spot for Jukai.]

Thanks! [And she plops down in the newly opened space next to Yui.]

[...The silence stretches. Jukai is quickly realizing she doesn't know anything about the young lady next to her, not the least of which is her name. The poor girl's sweating bullets, not sure what to do.]

[Yui keeps quiet for a while. A long, long while. And then:]

...I don't think I ever got your name.

[hero_signal]

[After the long pause, Jukai starts at Yui's interruption.] My... name? Oh, right, I haven't told you that, have I?

[She clears her throat.] Jukai Tokura. Sorry, we were a little busy before, and I sort of... forgot.

No, that's alright. Things have been quite...hectic. Yui Sendou, myself.

...The man we were fighting called you "hero". Why was that?

Mm, I hear you. Nice to meet you, Yui.

[At the question, Jukai frowns.] He's probably referring to my reputation in the area I live in. I kinda... it's hard to explain, but I protect people. Even if I don't know them. I just tend to butt in and help, and around my home that means I'm keeping myself between innocent people and gangs. We have some issues around town, so I end up getting involved pretty often. And they resent that, I guess, since that usually means I get in the way of their "business opportunities."

Hm...interesting.

Is there any particular reason you do it? Obviously to help others, but why do you feel the need to...do that?

Well, part of it's that I grew up watching stuff like the Kamen Rider documentaries, and mecha shows, and superhero stuff, so I love the excuse to serve the forces of good. But...

[Jukai's face turns serious.] I hate seeing people get hurt, or taken advantage of. That is the number one reason I fight. If there's someone in front of me that's in danger, I don't even think about it anymore, I just... go.

Ah. I've never much been a fan of them...the acting leaves a lot to be desired.

...I guess you're trying to be a...oh, how do they say it..."ally of justice"?

[hero_signal]

"Ally of justice," huh? Yeah, that's not a bad description, I guess. Kinda an embarrassing title, but it's right.

That's what I'm doing, at least. [Jukai frowns.] Maybe someday I'll be known for the people I can save, but right now I'm just known for being an obstacle to bad guys. Which is still a good thing, but I wish they'd just ignore me already.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about it. The sort of sticking to your ideals is...admirable.

[Yui smiles, putting her hand on Jukai's.]

I'm sure you'll be known as a hero someday. Sooner than you might think, even.

[Jukai blushes, looking right at her companion.] Well... nobody's told me that before. It makes me feel a lot better about things, honestly. Thanks, Yui.

[She then shows a huge grin.] And I'm looking forward to that day that I can be a hero! Just watch me... I'll make it happen!
